The Park Güell is located in Barcelona, Catalonia and covers an area of 17 hectares, making it one of the largest architectural works in southern Europe. It was designed by Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí and built from 1900 to 1914, originally intended to be a housing development with 60 luxury houses, though the architect also wanted to live there himself.
