FOR
RELEASE:
31
August
2015
Tree
change
on
the
cards
for
growing
family
Stephanie
and
Evan
Connell
have
been
happily
living
in
their
first
home
in
Belmont
for
six
years
while
thinking
about
a
tree
change
and
a
larger
block
to
raise
a
family.
After
spending
almost
a
year
viewing
countless
established
homes
on
the
market
in
Mundaring,
Parkerville,
Stoneville
and
Mahogany
Creek,
they
were
still
searching
for
better
value
for
money.
Then
last
September,
they
found
a
2003m2
block
at
Harmony
at
Parkerville,
an
intimate
new
community
from
the
LWP
Property
Group
focused
on
sustainable
design
and
living.
The
couple,
in
their
mid-‐30s,
are
currently
awaiting
the
arrival
of
their
first
child
and
excitedly
looking
forward
to
being
among
the
first
residents
to
live
at
Harmony.
“We
have
signed
on
with
Vision
One
Homes
to
build
a
4
x
2
home
and
it
should
be
finished
by
July
2016
hopefully,”
Stephanie
said.
“We
look
forward
to
having
a
big
block,
with
a
veggie
patch
and
space
to
raise
a
family,
and
living
near
many
hiking
and
bike
trails.”
Stephanie
said
while
this
would
be
their
second
home,
it
is
the
first
home
she
and
Evan
will
have
built
and
they
have
considered
the
design
carefully.
“We
are
interested
in
giving
it
a
country
look
with
a
veranda
rather
than
a
contemporary,
new
look
that
is
popular
these
days,”
she
explained.
“We
also
plan
to
connect
the
rainwater
tank
supplied
by
LWP,
setting
up
a
greywater
system
to
help
water
our
gardens
and
add
a
wood
burning
fire
place.”
Evan
added
that
the
pair
discovered
Harmony
after
shifting
their
focus
from
purchasing
an
established
home
to
finding
land
on
which
they
could
build.
“We
became
excited
by
the
opportunity
to
build
our
own
home
rather
than
buy
an
established
homes
in
the
suburbs
we
had
visited
and
started
searching
for
available
land
instead,”
he
explained.
2.
“After
visiting
Harmony,
we
decided
that
it
was
for
us.
The
services
connected
is
another
plus
and
we
are
pleased
that
the
power
lines
for
the
estate
will
be
underground.”
Mr
Phil
Cuttone,
LWP
General
Manager,
Project
Development,
said
construction
of
Harmony
at
Parkerville
began
at
the
start
of
the
year
and
the
first
titles
were
issued
in
late
August.
“This
development
has
been
designed
to
integrate
as
seamlessly
as
possible
into
the
existing
community
so
that
it
fits
perfectly
into
its
environment,”
he
said.
“We
pride
ourselves
on
being
an
environmentally-‐aware
developer
and
have
created
an
informative
flyer
to
help
residents
adopt
a
passive
solar
and
sustainable
approach
to
their
home
design.
Mr
Cuttone
added
that
interested
residents
could
also
take
up
an
opportunity
to
undertake
a
free
environmental
review
of
their
house
plan
with
a
HIA
Greensmart
Professional.
“We
look
forward
to
welcoming
new
residents
to
Harmony
at
Parkerville
as
each
home
is
constructed
and
seeing
some
of
these
green
design
elements
in
action,”
he
said.
