2. PathFinder
Many Requirements ....... 1 Solution
The PathFinder product range is a complete data exchange system that can be used
for traditional EDI purposes, more complex managed file transfer exchanges between
partners, internally as a middleware tool for interfacing between applications or just
as a document creation tool.
PathFinder has a wide range of Communications; AS/2 and RosettaNet allow secure
direct communication with trading partners and E-commerce marketplaces. FTPS
links into IBM Information Exchange or can be used to run your own secure file
server and FTP, HTTP(S), OFTP(2), SMTP and POP3 protocols are obviously also
supported. PathFinder also manages the required certificates.
PathFinder can handle any Flat file (fixed length field) document, and any delimited
document such as traditional EDI files or CSV files. It can transform any of these
formats to any other - it can take a Flat file export from an application and transform
it to a EDIFACT message to transmit to a partner, or receive a CSV file originally
produced by a spreadsheet and emailed in and convert it to an XML, XBRL or UBL 2.0
import file for a specific application.
PathFinder Document Creator module allows to produce almost any possible
design of document or label, including barcodes, graphics, line drawing and fonts.
PathFinder Monitor allows to watch in real-time the multiple simultaneous
PathFinder communications sessions, down to the progress in sending each file. The
cleverest data exchange system in the world is no use unless the user can view
easily what is happening in it, that’s the reasons why a full Track & Trace module is
included in the PathFinder Client including reprocessing options.
PathFinder e-Business Suite is designed for offering B2B and B2C solutions to
customers not able doing full EDI/XML services as well as building advanced
customer specific web applications.
PathFinder can be installed on different platforms such as Windows, Linux or UNIX.
Wide expertise in connecting PathFinder with various ERP systems incl. SAP (idocs),
WMS, TMS and other systems, direct connections with different databases (MySQL,
Progress, Oracle, SQL server…) are not a problem.
PathFinder can be licensed as a complete integrated Client/Server solution or under
a SAAS agreement running in the Cloud.
Orion Consulting Limited was formed in 1998 and delivers services and solutions within
Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) or Electronic Commerce (EC). In both areas, we firmly
believe that technology exists to serve the business, not the other way round. During
discussions with our potential customers, a solution can be suggested, whether it be a webbased EC solution or an integrated EDI solution, or a combination of the two. PathFinder
won’t transform your life - but it will give you complete control over your data exchange
traffic and handle your future requirements.
