smaller, underserved communities in 23 states across the Central U.S. The company operates 258 stores under two names,
ALCO and Duckwall. In fiscal 2007, the company reported total sales of $475 million.

Director of General Accounting (2008 – 2010)
• Responsible for month end close; all taxes, fixed assets, budgets, store accounting and banking relationships.
• Primary point of contact with external auditors for the review and filing of 10Q and 10K.
• Instrumental in upgrading finance department staff; added two CPA’s and a degreed accountant to rectify resource
    deficits.
• Supervised the conversion of over 26,000 assets to Oracle fixed asset system.

Financial Planning Manager (1995 – 1999)
• Responsible for analysis of expense budgets for over 200 stores, including long range plans and fixed asset
    reporting.
• Oversaw the conversion of general ledger to new software to bring flexibility to reporting process.
• Upgraded long-range plan to include “what-if” decision making support.
• Created a forecasting model that increased visibility of future gross margin dollars and LIFO expense.

• Oversaw the reorganization of accounts payable, conversion to new general ledger, accounts payable and payroll

   secure bank financing.

Footlocker, Inc., Junction City, KS                                                                            2002 – 2004
Foot Locker is a leading global athletic footwear and apparel retailer. Its 1,911 stores are located in 21 countries including
1,171 in the United States. The sole US distribution center is in Junction City, Kansas, which moves over $4 billion in retail
goods annually.

Senior Financial Analyst – Junction City Service Center (2002 – 2004)
• Responsible for productivity and quality monitoring, accounts payable, and assisting the Director of Finance with a
   weekly forecast of month-end financials.
• Instrumental in the conversion of productivity software from DOS to Windows resulting in improved reporting.
• Took a lead position in automating the Quality and Performance database working with engineering and IS to
   eliminate approximately 32 hours of processing per week.
• Responsible for over $100K in cost savings for 2003 through supply management, labor savings and cost
   efficiencies.
• Selected as Manager of the Quarter (3Q03).
