A man named Mirol fell into a hole and hit his head on a rock while collecting bananas on the beach, causing him to act strangely and grow hair all over his body along with a tail. The god Zeuz, seeing that Mirol was now alone, multiplied him to create male and female monkeys and moved them to the jungle to avoid causing trouble in the city, thus explaining the origin of monkeys according to the myth.
