2. Sit-ins Sit-ins were one of the most common events that Logan planned. Logan’s most successful sit in was in Montgomery, Alabama. 5 people died, but it raised awareness to everyone around the country. Logan continued sit-ins until he died.
4. Marches Logan led many marches, but few of them succeeded. The most known march was the March on Atlanta. Logan devised this march in his home town of Harmon, Georgia. He marched on the street with his organization and local people joined in to. It was stopped when they got to the city capitol because the mayor sent out the police force. 30 people died due to injuries from gunshot. 5,000 people followed Logan on his march.
5. United Peoples of African Descent This organization, found by Logan planned the sit-ins and marches he did. It later grew to become the NAACP. Logan made this to unite people from Africa, for he believed in Pan-Africanism, the belief that people descended from Africa should become one global community. Logan came from the Maasai tribe.
