Listen to your design needs
And work hard to tell your story.
Editor's Notes
These words are the framework that shape who I am as a creative.
Mention I am from Sunny Florida.
Once Upon A Time’s are for storybooks and play pretend.
We are all made up of stories. I have this unique and burning desire to collect stories from everyone I meet. Some stories are tear jerkers, some deserve a celebratory dance in the living room, some come from deep within the locked boxes of our hearts and some make you laugh until you cry. The stories I collect then become the inspiration to create beautiful things; blogs, design work, hand-lettered lovelies or compelling photographs.
Chose not to give into grief and allowed it to fuel my creativity.
Months after my family suffered loss, I was asked to join my high school yearbook.
I became chief editor, learn about layout design, editorial design and cover design. I wanted to be a graphic designer, no doubt.
But I settled for a more stable career path. Enrolled in college for something else and spent 3 years pursuing something I wasn’t as passionate about.
Through my dark phase, pursuing something less appealing, the massive earthquake happened in Haiti. I had to do something. I left everything I had ever known and moved to Haiti.
Stories oof pain, loss and destitution. A pain I knew all too well.
Hearing their stories made me want to do something. So I merged their stories with my skill and was able to design beautiful campaigns that helped raise funding for food, water and shelter.
