among females, is consistent with several
studies in Saudi Arabia. The national survey
showed an overall prevalence of obesity of
16% among males and 24% among females,
with a prevalence of 23% and 30% among
males and females respectively in the
Eastern Province [16].

showed that 60.8% of female diabetics
were obese [26].. In a case-control study
conducted at King Saud University
Hospital in Riyadh, the mean BMI for
