light panel. Isolated graphics
allow us to illuminate specific
portions of the graphic

Construction of Backlit Display

7. Design Considerations
• The light panels are custom built to any size or shape.
• The illuminated area or text on the graphic overlay needs to be translucent
like the circles in the below diagram. Dark text will not let light pass.
• We target the light to correspond to the illuminated text or shape creating
effects options. Isolating the graphics allows greater effects options.
• Individual graphics requiring isolated illumination need some space. The
circles below light independent of each other allowing more effects options.
• Lumvatech input in the design stage of the graphics is important to maximize
the WOW factor on the lighting end.

• 1. Flash – simple on off strobe type flash
• 2. Ramp – slow fade from all off to fully lit. Ramp down is the reverse
• 3. Sweep – lights LEDs sequentially to provide movement from left to right or
bottom to top and can simulate a bottle filling.
• 4. Random – light LEDs randomly for a sparkle effect
