1. The Importance Of Computers In Education
Age, accessibility to computers is affected by age as people at different ages need different
requirements for example elderly people have trouble seeing the screen so a magnifier is used to
make the words easier to read for them. There is also software they can get onto the computer that
makes the computer simpler because elderly people haven't grown up with computers it is a new
thing for them to understand so there is software like Eldy, which makes the interface simpler by
only displaying six buttons for email, Internet, chat, video conferencing, documents, pictures, Skype
and an option to change the buttons to whatever you want. I believe that nearly everyone at any age
is able to use a computer but some older people just choose not to embrace it.
Education, Computer systems are used in education because more lessons and resources are now
available online and in emails. Students have found to perform a lot better when they are using
computers rather than without and have felt more involved in the lessons. Computers play a vital
role in the modern business world, and many of even the most basic jobs involve technology and
computers. Teaching students how to use computers help them prepare for any number of possible
careers. There is a lot of educational software for young kids like Computer Classroom at Home
which is a software package which helps kids with math, reading, spelling, and English this has been
found to be very beneficial for young kids because software

2. The Impact Of Computer Technology On Students
We are living in the age of computers technology. In the recent decade, these machines became a
very popular and an important part of the human's life; as a result, today we are surrounded by
computers everywhere. We have computers at homes, educational institutions, offices, hospitals,
banks, supermarkets and so on. However, we cannot deny this fact that computers are given great
importance in the education sector and students are the key part of it.
Different studies have revealed (Study link is given below) that computers have many advantages on
numerous significant areas of a student's life, for example, in the field of education, entertainment
purposes and building social relationships. However, students can have serious Educational,
Physical, social and psychological disadvantages from prolonged computer use. This essay provides
an overview of the impacts of computer technology on students.
Today computer is an essential tool for students in the educational sector. It can store huge amount
of data at one place so students can save notes assignments and books in it. It reduces the amount
of the books students need to carry physically because many online stores like Amazon sell the
soft copy of academic books which is always cheaper and no shipping is required for that. There
are several software programs available to help student enhance their learning skills, for example,
improving vocabulary, writing skills, including grammar as well as spelling check, getting easy

TheMathematics Teacher 66.1 (1973): 7–83.
Computer science promotes a meaningful life. Computer science means the principles and use of
computer. It not only limits there because computer science defines mathematics everyday life. The
author argues the effect of computer science at all over our curriculum in high school. This is
important because computer science compels students to create problem to solving thus engage
them more into work, especially mathematics. Computer science motivates work in mathematics as
it relates to each other. It is a program moved down from Graduate to bachelors because it creates a
better understanding of applications and critical thinking. As the world of technology grows, the
importance of computer science also expands. A lot of students drop out of high school because they
think education is hard. The author includes a survey which explains, the use of technology also
increased because the importance and easy access forced everyone to construct better and better
future. So, schools should include computer science as this pushes students to do well in
mathematics and learn about computer science. "The Technology Job Gap – Computer Science

some of them before each lesson.
*Students have also been doing station work since the beginning of the school year. They know
that they can rotate at their own speed through all the stations. They are required to do two of the
stations and show me their work from them. I will look at it and talk about it with them. If students
are being distracted, or have lost their privilege to choose stations, I will tell them where and when
they can go to a station. In severe cases the student will have to sit at his/her desk to do the station

The world has been advancing drastically over the years and will continue to do so. Technology
is a big part of every individual's life in the way they might put it to use for their daily activities. It
is changing the way people work by making it simpler to do their tasks. It can be especially an
important method in schools education. Many schools provide technology in their classroom to make
the students feel less overwhelmed with their assignments. The internet is a perfect example of a
crucial means for the classroom. The internet is beneficial for schools because it encourages student
interactions, makes grading assignments easier on teachers, and information accessible at their
disposition.

There are so many websites on the internet that teachers are taking advantage of for grading students
assignments. For example, their is a website called google classroom in which teachers assign their
assignments on it and the students are able to post their work by a deadline chosen by the
teacher. The teachers are able to grade their work online wherever they might be and not have a
clutter of papers to look through. There is a less possibility that the teacher will lose an
assignment which can reduce their stress on trying to keep everything organized. Google
classroom makes it efficient for the teachers to grade assignments for their students without having
to worry about the time they will be spending by doing so. They are able to see the students
assignments immediately after they post it so they can start on grading earlier than having to wait
till the end of the day to gather all their papers to take home to grade. They can even grade papers
while the students who haven't finished the assignment are still finishing it up in class. Google
classroom has changed the grading system completely for the teachers in a positive way. Websites
that can be found on the internet like Google Classroom can make teachers grading system seem less
overwhelming than it was before.
The internet can be especially beneficial when it comes to providing attainable information for the
students to use for their assignments or help them understand the subject that they

that point at any point thought conceivable. Organizations have hopped on the fleeting trend,
pitching help to teachers and students. For the most part, computers are eligible to aid assistance for
all levels of education. Many programmers have built and designed programs for the SAT and ACT
test that assistance impressively. Computer aided education (CAE) system is a key to improve the
effectiveness and the quality of the education system.
CAE has been utilized for quite some time. In the mid–1960s, Stanford University brain research
teachers Patrick Suppes and Richard C. Atkinson tried different things with utilizing computers to
show math and perusing to youthful students in grade schools in East Palo Alto, California.

8. The Importance Of Computer Education
In my lifetime, my educational career began with older, bigger televisions and chalk boards. Now,
my grade school educational career is ending with the presence of projectors, laptops for each
individual, and a smart board. As the creation of new technology and its understanding grows, why is
the average grade school student not growing its knowledge of technology alongside its constant
new development? The American educational system should eliminate the promotion of computer
science to only the tech–inclined, but rather to all students for preparation of the new–coming
technology workforce.
The gap between girls and boys in computer science begins with the lack of exposure to technology.
According to Girls In Tech, the closing of the gender gap should begin with a new grade school
curriculum that includes more hands–on technology projects and workshops targeted at girls. This
then allows time for helpful experiences – ones that allow students to find their interests in a certain
field earlier on in life. By doing so, this saves a grand amount of time from deciding that a major
chosen was not for them and then ending up switching majors again. The lack of exposure of
technology and computer science to students in grade school is also due to the general high school
graduation requirements. In Georgia specifically, according to the Georgia Department ofEducation,
high school students' graduation requirements include english, science, mathematics, history, health

"Ultimately, education in its real sense is the pursuit of truth. It is an endless journey through
knowledge and enlightenment."
–Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
I truly adhere to the above mentioned axiom, which made me to realize and understand the
importance of continuous learning and helped me in reaching greater heights. The inherent curiosity
for the field of computers started, right from childhood when I was able to perceive that this magical
machine possesses the potential to simplify the lives of people and empower them. Initially, to my
mind, this machine is a huge calculator, in which the advanced calculations are performed, that
cannot be done using normal calculator. This idea led me to initiate the learning about computers.
Tally is the first software which proved me that I was wrong about this intelligent machine and it is
capable of solving many complex problems that are plaguing in the society. My strong affinity
towards latest technologies, subsequent industry experience and a strong–will to reinvent myself
through my coding skills helped me to go beyond horizons. I believed a Master's Program could be
a solution for my never quenching quest for knowledge. Also, the four years worth experience in
various application developments, boundless potential in programming and interest in coding
industry drove me to make a commitment to embark a Master's Program in Computer Science.

hardly use chalk and board today. They bring presentations on a flash drive, plug it in to a computer

Computers and Teaching
Introduction:
"The speed with which technology has developed since the invention of the computer has been
extraordinary and surprisingly sustained. For educators, the rapid and continuing introduction of
new technology into education, has outpaced the ability of teachers and developers to evaluate it
properly, " says Levy, (1997:1). And he continues, that as soon as teachers have become acquainted
with one kind of software and hardware and have developed some ability to use it for educational
purposes, "better" machines appear to displace it.

TEACHER TRAINING:
"In our schools, every classroom in America must be connected to the information superhighway
with computers and good software and well–trained teachers" (Clinton, B: 1996, in Bush et al: 1997)
Teacher training has been supported by different sources, as mentioned by Cwiklik (1997). Federal
funds have been used in programs such as the Technology Innovation Challenge Grant Program,
which provides funds for schools developing projects that encourage the good use of technology in
education. And the Technology Literacy Challenge Fund set up last year for state education agencies
to distribute to school–technology initiatives.
Schools, districts or teachers' certified agencies also sustain programs to develop teacher training,
such as the Community School District One in New York, the New York Public Schools with the
"Project Smart", or the Olympia, WA, School district which devised the original "Generation Why."
All mentioned by Cwiklik in Wall Street Journal (1997).
Teacher training is also left up to teachers who want to initiate participation by themselves, and
enroll in some of the multiple courses offered by colleges all over the USA.
In any case, as Katie Hickox (1997) says, teacher training

Today, schools are being pressured more and more to improve the technology they use and teach in
the classrooms. Parents are placing this pressure on schools so that their students have the skills
needed to compete in the real world job market. Students are placing pressure on the schools to

This frees up time for teachers to address more serious issues in the classroom and allows students
more time to work on their project, instead of having to spend large quantities of time going over
their project with the teacher. Also, programs such as PowerPoint and other graphic arts programs
allow students to illustrate their literary works and by creating them on the computer, it makes it
much simpler for the students to publish their own work on the internet. When it comes to learning
how to improve reading skills, many programs exist, one of the better being Reader Rabbit, which
uses games to disguise drill–and–practice routines to help students improve reading ability. All of
these are examples of how technology has positively affected Language Arts education.
Science education has also been affected however. Computer programs like BioPac, used here on
LSSU's campus, help collect data and analyze it. Experiments that normally would not have been
able to be accomplished or ones that would have required great lengths of time can now easily be
completed in a matter of minutes. Also, internet resources can help provide ideas for experiments,
with instructions on how to complete them often, and also will provide forums for students to
exchange and discuss results with each other. In response to students feelings of uneasiness about

quite fast, easily accessible and perfectly suitable for both students and employees. Numerous
websites have been created and are available on the internet offering heaps of information for
individuals to explore. People can also collect and share information with other people around the
world using the internet. Typically the information in the internet is free and available 24 hours a
day. An additional advantage of having loads of information on the internet is that it is cheaper than
buying and replacing books outdated information books every year. Another advantage of the
internet is the communication. People are able to communicate immediately with other people
thousands of miles away. Today the range of communication services provided by the internet
include; e–mail, instant messaging, blogs, newsgroups and online conferencing. These types of
communication can enable friends to chat and employers to converse with employees from long
distances. One more advantage is the amount of services that the internet provides such as job
seeking, purchasing tickets online, online banking, guidance services and hotel bookings. These
services are sometimes not online and can cost more.
A disadvantage of the internet is that people are can be in danger in terms of their personal
information being stolen.

Computers improve both teaching and student achievement. Across the world children have entered

Why computer skills are important
As someone with extensive computer literacy, I understand the importance of being able to be
efficient with the use of computers. Whether it is at school, or at the workplace, the struggles and
inefficiency I see people have with computers results in a lot of wasted time and effort. The internet,
and computers, play such a giant role in the day–to–day life of human beings that if computers were
all wiped out tomorrow, humans would have a very difficult time in adapting to life afterwards. If
you do not have the proper computer literacy in 2017, you are at a significant disadvantage to the
rest of your peers. In this essay, I will highlight some of the causes of computer illiteracy, its effects

If the individual cannot afford to own a computer or pay for internet service, then his or her
computer skills will suffer or be nonexistent. Although you will have to be going through some
rough times to not be able to afford a computer and internet service, it does not mean that there
aren't people out there living with this reality. Not being able to find a job to help pay for it, or
not being able to attend a college to better the situation are some of the possible consequences of
being computer illiterate in 2017. Having flexibility with the time in your life can be beneficial
for someone with financial struggles when you are trying to balance work life with school life.
So if you don't have good computer skills, it will restrict your ability to take online classes that
will allow you to be flexible with your work schedule. Any shift that is available to you can now
be worked if you are able to enroll in online courses. With 3 children, I find this to be a great benefit
and plan on taking online courses for any course that allows it.
There are people out there that just are not attracted to using computers and other types of technology
