This document provides instructions for creating a slidecast by combining a PowerPoint or PDF presentation with an MP3 audio file, then uploading and sharing it on Slideshare.net. It notes that Audacity can be used to record audio and export it as an MP3, and that LAME is needed to allow Audacity to export MP3 format. It also states that the first slidecast may take time to create as one gets used to the tools, but that subsequent ones can be done more easily and it is worth the initial effort.
