Wadi Hanifa means “Valley in
the Nejd region”
It is a dry and sharply defined riverbed that
runs for a length of 120 km from northwest
to southeast cutting through city of Riyadh

groundwater has been used as a dumping
ground for wastewater, sewage and
industrial waste
However recently it has been gone through
an ambitious rehabilitation project to get it
to its early standards
