Child Observation Report Essay example
Introduction
The location of the observation was at the Community Center (Early Childhood education program)
at 11:00am to 12:30pm on April 15, 2014. The meaningful experiences in early childhood education
can positively shape children's development. With a teacher is guidance authentic child–art activity

children, and more importantly, learn to interact with people around them in the contemporary
world. However, art for young students often takes many diversified approaches and emphasizing

Portrait 1
My first portrait I am going to going to critique is a oil on canvas piece by Scott Jones B. This
first portrait I am going to critique is called going on four. The first thing you immediately see
about the piece is the scantily clad cartoonish bee looking character set in the foreground .The
piece is of a bee looking character set in the middle of the piece and taking up about one fourth the
piece. He is set in the foreground and almost seems to be coming off the piece or coming out of the
painting .The character is wearing a striped shirt with the colors mixed between shades of blue and

This pretty much sums up the character. As for the rest of the piece the background behind the
character is a mixture of colors. Some of the colors I was able to see through all the shading and
blending where but not limited to splotches of purple, yellow, dark pink and red, urine yellow, violet,
blue, white, and finally pink. These colors are mixed together with different unique moments and
swishes of the brush. Then in the four corners of the piece there is four different sized suns. Each sun
is placed, shaped and sized differently in each corner. The colors of each sun is the same thou.
Each sun is bright yellow with mixtures of white each placed in different parts of the sun. The
artist really used many lines and really used or utilized this element. There is also many shapes
especially in the character and foreground. The form of the character is looks amateur but the artist
wanted it to be this way. The figure or character almost seems to be three dimensional and seems to
be coming out or off the canvas.
The artist used value well utilizing the lightness and darkness of color well. The element of space is
missing thou the one character is much too small in comparison to the rest of the piece. The rhythm
and movement of the piece is very awkward and confusing to the viewer and could have been

Group Presentation Report
Throughout the course of this class, my group and I had done a lot of research, analyzing, and
discussing before the creation of our poster. The day we had learned that we were partners for this
project, we all exchanged phone numbers and used a texting group chat as our main way of
communication. We much preferred meeting face to face every so often as compared to using
Blackboard and when we actually wanted to meet, we often used the library in Gorham. We decided
to work mostly independently throughout most of the course, conducting our own research and
recording information that we found to be useful eventually. Our group decided not to assign each
member a task to do independently, instead, all of our work would be compiled together and...show

We decided on using the group study rooms located in the library so we could work on the poster
with a television as well as it around a table and talk. December 1st and December 6th were our
important days where we met and actually constructed the poster. We met at 9:30 AM and
utilized the free time we had from having no class. I brought up the idea of using Google Slides
instead of a PowerPoint. I informed my group that creating the project this way, we would be able
to all connect to the presentation and work on it together from separate computers. I also figured
out how to download the Google Slide presentation into a PowerPoint so it could be presented in
class. I discussed the information I had collected as well as my opinions and analysis on how
Clinton conducted their campaign. My group had some small troubles when it came to creating
the basic layout of the poster. I found the document which had the rubric for the poster and the
presentation. I advised using the main points of the rubric as the main points and sections for the
poster. The rubric elevated if we talked about things such as the results, data, and campaign
efforts so I made sure we titled the different sections of the poster with what was being evaluated.
This why I was sure we would hit all the major points that we wanted to talk about. We began
finding pictures and data and tried to figure out how it would all be incorporated in. After some
trial and error, we had the basis of our poster. I realized that the poster did not really flow so I
suggested moving the sections around so they could be read left to right, starting with the objective
of the project and ending with the conclusion. In around 4 hours we had completed the poster to our
satisfaction, making sure everyone's input was accounted for. We assigned sections for each member
to discuss during

Observation Report On Field Experience
Field Experience My first day of observations had finally arrived. Filled with excitement, I opened
the doors to Pleasant Ridge Elementary School, and walked into the front office to sign in as a
guest for the day. I made my way to the second grade wing to do my first observation for my field
experience report. The second grade instructor greeted me as I entered her classroom, with a big
bright smile I found made her classroom warm and inviting.
Mrs. Lawrence had her students' desks arranged in three rows of grouped tables. The first row is
composed of eight tables and chairs, second row is composed of nine tables and chairs, the third
row is composed of eleven tables and chairs, and one table is leaned up against the teacher's desk.

Students requiring assistance in a specific area are removed from class during the lesson's time slot as
an attempt to assist and improve a student's understanding of said lesson. During my observations
in her classroom, I observed Reading/Writing and Math lessons. For her Reading/Writing lesson,
she discussed cause and effect. She had a couple of examples displayed on the smart board. She
read the sentence and called on students to answer specific questions relating to her lesson. Some
students were eager to answer and others not so much.
Mrs. Lawrence frequently utilizes rhymes and actions, such as rhythm hand clapping to gain her
student's attention. She also uses songs to give students enough time to get their things together
during lesson transitions or station transitions located throughout her classroom. The sayings and
hand actions very catchy, and her signing was a great way to get students to take responsibility for
themselves and to do as instructed. Mrs. Lawrence divided her students into four stations or groups
during her Reading/Writing and Math lessons. A group of students played educational games on the
smart board, a second group would silent read during reading/writing, a third group would work on
worksheets, and a fourth group would meet with here for one–on–one lesson instruction. Mrs.

Abortion Report Essay examples
Abortion Report
I have chosen for my topic Abortion. I think that it is a topic that is very important in today's
society however it is often dodged or avoided.
Different Presidents say different things and have different stances about it, and often it is had to
know what to think about it. Basically there are two different ways of looking at it: Pro–Choice,
which takes the stance of saying that it is the woman's choice if she wants to have an abortion and
that it is only her business. So basically they want it to remain legal. Then there is the other stance
of Pro–Life which says that it should not remain legal and that it is just about as bad as
cold–blooded murder. I happen to agree with this.
This is...show more content...
Several cases have been fought for the right to choose. Many of these have been hard cases but
they stuck with it, and many people believe that that is why we have some of the rights we do
today. Here are some important cases:
1. 1965 – Griswold vs. Connecticut. Upheld the right to privacy and ended the ban on birth control.
Eight years later, the Supreme Court ruled the right to privacy included abortions.
2. 1973 – Roe vs. Wade. The state of Texas had outlawed abortions. The
Supreme Court declared the law unconstitutional, bur refused to order an injunction against the state.
On January 22, 1973, the Supreme Court voted the right to privacy included abortions.
3. 1976 – Planned Parenthood vs. Danforth. Ruled that requiring consent by the husband and the
consent from a parent if a person was under 18 was unconstitutional. This case supported a woman's
control over her own body and reproductive system.
To conclude about Pro–Choice I will state what Dana Pentoney has said:
Abortion deals with one's private life and should have nothing to do with the government. However,
abortion should not be used as a means of birth control, but if a fetus will be unwanted, it is better
to be aborted than to be abused or neglected. Now onto Pro–Life. This is what

Every country has it's own social customs and gestures. Ireland has its share of social customs that
differ from the United States, but for the most part the countries are relatively similar. Friendliness
and hospitality have always been the hallmark of the Irish people. People in Ireland react to strangers
very politely, as you would expect in most parts of the United States. The attitude toward foreigners
in Ireland is reasonably friendly, and welcoming, as opposed to being hostile. In Ireland people greet
each other much like they do in the United States. In a social setting, a handshake is appropriate
when greeting another man, when greeting a woman a hug is appropriate.

Tipping taxi drivers, porters, hairdressers, etc., is customary, but not obligatory.2
To refuse an invitation is viewed much like it would be in the United States. If it were necessary to
decline an invitation, it would not be viewed offensively. When refusing an invitation, you would use
a polite manner, as would be expected in any country, usually explaining the reasons for your
absence. Eye contact is important when communicating in Ireland, as would be in any country.
When conversing with someone it is appropriate to maintain eye contact, not allowing your eyes to
wonder, and give the impression of disinterest. When non–verbally communicating, nodding your
head is acceptable, where as when disagreeing shaking your head is acceptable.1
When in a social or business setting, there is no information alluding to inappropriate subjects.
However, you should most likely exercise your best judgment, and refrain from talking about
personal matters or opinions. There is no social hierarchy in the social structure of Ireland. The
former colonial power shows no apparent power in present Ireland.

Kindergarten Classroom Observation Report Essay
In electing to observe a kindergarten class, I was hoping to see 'real world' examples of the social
development, personality types and cognitive variation found within the beginning stages of "Middle
Childhood" as discussed within our text.
On April 1, 2010, I was welcomed into Mrs. Smith's all day kindergarten class at the O'Dea Core
Knowledge Elementary School in Fort Collins Colorado to observe and note the classroom
conditions, interactions of the children among themselves, the teachers or other authority figures and
the manner in which learning takes place.
O'Dea, as it is referred to within this paper, was selected because it is located within my
neighborhood, and I am familiar with it's location, general population and the...show more content...
The class that was observed consisted of five and six year olds, it was of interest that there were
several examples of interactions that could be classified as moral reasoning between the children
during 'free play' where small groups of 3 or 4 expressed frustration that the rules weren't being
followed. There were two moments in which the teacher became involved to guide the discussion
during which the children were allowed to explore their feelings and suggest ideas to resolve the
conflict.
As described within the text, during early childhood, the development of friendships between
children begins to emerge, in which children of similar personalities and interests demonstrate an
interest in playing with each other ( ). During Middle Childhood, these relationships deepen, and
continue to evolve into more gender specific relationships, in which boys prefer to play with boys
and girls among girls ( ). It was easily observed within the classroom that this theory held true – the
boys played in small groups with wooden blocks and Lego's creating elaborate 'Star Wars' scenarios,
and the girls played more quietly with books and writing white boards.
According to Piaget, the early childhood period is one in which the child is

For this cultural event report I decided to attend a musical performance. This was a play of the classic
movie Beauty and the Beast. This is the first time I have ever attended a live musical and I had an
overall good experience. The one thing that I don't really like is a lot of singing but the acting was
extraordinary. The cast was dressed in beautiful brightly colored costumes. The main characters of

There was a small intermission of about 20 minutes. The play lasted a total of 2 hours. During the
intermission there was a small concession stand that had candy, drinks, and popcorn. The show
proceeded shortly after. During the part of the performance when Gaston and the Beast are
fighting Gaston does stab him. It was kind of sad when Belle thought the beast was dead, but
then he transformed back into the Prince. It was a happy ending and the final song was amazing.
The singers had very beautiful voices. After going to this performance it makes when want to go
see another one to compare and contrast each aspect. I would like to go see a drama written by
Shakespeare. It would be a great experience to see actors portray people from a different era.
While watching this musical I also thought of movies that involve the same issues, such as the
Princess and the Frog and the Hunchback of Notre Dame. When the show had ended the
performers were each introduced as they came back onto the stage. Also, we were able to meet and
greet with them before we left. The briefly discussed their history with acting and singing and how
long it took them to prepare for the show. Everything about the performance was good and they
knew how to keep the audience's attention which is important. I am glad that I was able to attend the
show.

After the wondering, dreading, and preparing, I am teaching in a middle school classroom. I
entered the school feeling very ready. After weeks of studying, discussing, and writing about topics
related to teaching, I was ready to implement my learning. During my first week I started by simply
observing my cooperating teacher. From this observation, I have formed many opinions and views
on my teacher's approaches to classroom management and other topics. In regards to classroom

During homeroom on my first day at the school, my cooperating teacher explained to me that at
least half of his students do not know their times tables and that he and the teacher who teaches
English and social studies to the students were working to figure out which students have an IEP
and need to be in an inclusion classroom. I was shocked when I heard this. I am still confounded
by the fact that during the change from elementary to middle school, IEPs are not kept track of
and students with learning disabilities could be struggling in classrooms where their needs are
not met. I hope this problem is resolved quickly so that students are not wasting a school year
stuck in the wrong classroom. Although there may be some students who do not belong in this
classroom, I am enjoying working with every student in the classroom. In relation to behavior,
personality, and learning behaviors of my students, no two students are alike. Some students are
incredibly shy and detest speaking aloud while some raise their hands at every chance and even
call out answers. Some seem to have completely given up on school and spend their days
distracting other students while some students listen intently and appear to have a genuine love for
learning. I think the diverse personalities I get to interact with are one of my favorite aspects of JPE
so far. When I was told I would be teaching in an urban school I thought I would be

1. Introduction
Stylish is a hairdressing business that currently owns and operates two hairdressing salons in inner
Melbourne: Carlton and South Melbourne. The owners of the business (hereon the client) are
interested in expanding their operations, and have identified the Prahran area as a possible location
for the establishing of a third salon. The purpose of this report is to provide preliminary information
to the client about: i) the overall viability of establishing a salon in the Prahran area; and ii) key
management and marketing issues that need to be considered in ensuring the success and
profitability of any proposed new outlet. Note that the study considers the viability of the business in
broad management and marketing terms only; it does not provide a comprehensive financial
analysis of the proposed expansion. In the investigation of these issues, two analytical concepts were
used, namely Mega Environment and Task Environment. The Mega Environment is concerned with
the external environment in which a business operates; the Task Environment considers conditions
that a business faces in its immediate environment (Bartol, Tein, Mathews, Sharma & Scott–Ladd
2008). Data for the study came from a range of sources related to both these environments including:

This first portrait I am going to critique is called going on four. The first thing you immediately see about the piece is the scantily clad cartoonish bee looking character set in the foreground .The piece is of a bee looking character set in the middle of the piece and taking up about one fourth the piece. He is set in the foreground and almost seems to be coming off the piece or coming out of the painting .The character is wearing a striped shirt with the colors mixed between shades of blue and ...show more content... Some of the colors I was able to see through all the shading and blending where but not limited to splotches of purple, yellow, dark pink and red, urine yellow, violet, blue, white, and finally pink. These colors are mixed together with different unique moments and swishes of the brush. Then in the four corners of the piece there is four different sized suns. Each sun is placed, shaped and sized differently in each corner. The colors of each sun is the same thou. Each sun is bright yellow with mixtures of white each placed in different parts of the sun. The artist really used many lines and really used or utilized this element. There is also many shapes especially in the character and foreground. The form of the character is looks amateur but the artist wanted it to be this way. The figure or character almost seems to be three dimensional and seems to be coming out or off the canvas. The artist used value well utilizing the lightness and darkness of color well. The element of space is missing thou the one character is much too small in comparison to the rest of the piece. The rhythm and movement of the piece is very awkward and confusing to the viewer and could have been Get more content on HelpWriting.net

The day we had learned that we were partners for this project, we all exchanged phone numbers and used a texting group chat as our main way of communication. We much preferred meeting face to face every so often as compared to using Blackboard and when we actually wanted to meet, we often used the library in Gorham. We decided on using the group study rooms located in the library so we could work on the poster with a television as well as it around a table and talk. December 1st and December 6th were our important days where we met and actually constructed the poster. We met at 9:30 AM and utilized the free time we had from having no class. I brought up the idea of using Google Slides instead of a PowerPoint. I informed my group that creating the project this way, we would be able to all connect to the presentation and work on it together from separate computers. I also figured out how to download the Google Slide presentation into a PowerPoint so it could be presented in class. I discussed the information I had collected as well as my opinions and analysis on how Clinton conducted their campaign. My group had some small troubles when it came to creating the basic layout of the poster. I found the document which had the rubric for the poster and the presentation. I advised using the main points of the rubric as the main points and sections for the poster. The rubric elevated if we talked about things such as the results, data, and campaign efforts so I made sure we titled the different sections of the poster with what was being evaluated. This why I was sure we would hit all the major points that we wanted to talk about. We began finding pictures and data and tried to figure out how it would all be incorporated in. After some trial and error, we had the basis of our poster. I realized that the poster did not really flow so I suggested moving the sections around so they could be read left to right, starting with the objective of the project and ending with the conclusion. In around 4 hours we had completed the poster to our satisfaction, making sure everyone's input was accounted for. We assigned sections for each member to discuss during Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Different Presidents say different things and have different stances about it, and often it is had to know what to think about it. Basically there are two different ways of looking at it: Pro–Choice, which takes the stance of saying that it is the woman's choice if she wants to have an abortion and that it is only her business. So basically they want it to remain legal. Then there is the other stance of Pro–Life which says that it should not remain legal and that it is just about as bad as cold–blooded murder. I happen to agree with this. This is...show more content... Several cases have been fought for the right to choose. Many of these have been hard cases but they stuck with it, and many people believe that that is why we have some of the rights we do today. Here are some important cases: 1. 1965 – Griswold vs. Connecticut. Upheld the right to privacy and ended the ban on birth control. Eight years later, the Supreme Court ruled the right to privacy included abortions. 2. 1973 – Roe vs. Wade. The state of Texas had outlawed abortions. The Supreme Court declared the law unconstitutional, bur refused to order an injunction against the state. On January 22, 1973, the Supreme Court voted the right to privacy included abortions. 3. 1976 – Planned Parenthood vs. Danforth. Ruled that requiring consent by the husband and the consent from a parent if a person was under 18 was unconstitutional. This case supported a woman's control over her own body and reproductive system. To conclude about Pro–Choice I will state what Dana Pentoney has said: Abortion deals with one's private life and should have nothing to do with the government. However, abortion should not be used as a means of birth control, but if a fetus will be unwanted, it is better to be aborted than to be abused or neglected. Now onto Pro–Life. • 14. Kindergarten Classroom Observation Report Essay In electing to observe a kindergarten class, I was hoping to see 'real world' examples of the social development, personality types and cognitive variation found within the beginning stages of "Middle Childhood" as discussed within our text. On April 1, 2010, I was welcomed into Mrs. Smith's all day kindergarten class at the O'Dea Core Knowledge Elementary School in Fort Collins Colorado to observe and note the classroom conditions, interactions of the children among themselves, the teachers or other authority figures and the manner in which learning takes place. O'Dea, as it is referred to within this paper, was selected because it is located within my neighborhood, and I am familiar with it's location, general population and the...show more content... The class that was observed consisted of five and six year olds, it was of interest that there were several examples of interactions that could be classified as moral reasoning between the children during 'free play' where small groups of 3 or 4 expressed frustration that the rules weren't being followed. There were two moments in which the teacher became involved to guide the discussion during which the children were allowed to explore their feelings and suggest ideas to resolve the conflict. As described within the text, during early childhood, the development of friendships between children begins to emerge, in which children of similar personalities and interests demonstrate an interest in playing with each other ( ). During Middle Childhood, these relationships deepen, and continue to evolve into more gender specific relationships, in which boys prefer to play with boys and girls among girls ( ). It was easily observed within the classroom that this theory held true – the boys played in small groups with wooden blocks and Lego's creating elaborate 'Star Wars' scenarios, and the girls played more quietly with books and writing white boards. According to Piaget, the early childhood period is one in which the child is Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Dean Theatre, Summerville, SC For this cultural event report I decided to attend a musical performance. This was a play of the classic movie Beauty and the Beast. This is the first time I have ever attended a live musical and I had an overall good experience. The one thing that I don't really like is a lot of singing but the acting was extraordinary. The cast was dressed in beautiful brightly colored costumes. The main characters of course were Belle, the Beast, Gaston, and Belle's father, Maurice....show more content... There was a small intermission of about 20 minutes. The play lasted a total of 2 hours. During the intermission there was a small concession stand that had candy, drinks, and popcorn. The show proceeded shortly after. During the part of the performance when Gaston and the Beast are fighting Gaston does stab him. It was kind of sad when Belle thought the beast was dead, but then he transformed back into the Prince. It was a happy ending and the final song was amazing. The singers had very beautiful voices. After going to this performance it makes when want to go see another one to compare and contrast each aspect. I would like to go see a drama written by Shakespeare. It would be a great experience to see actors portray people from a different era. While watching this musical I also thought of movies that involve the same issues, such as the Princess and the Frog and the Hunchback of Notre Dame. When the show had ended the performers were each introduced as they came back onto the stage. Also, we were able to meet and greet with them before we left. The briefly discussed their history with acting and singing and how long it took them to prepare for the show. Everything about the performance was good and they knew how to keep the audience's attention which is important. I am glad that I was able to attend the show. After weeks of studying, discussing, and writing about topics related to teaching, I was ready to implement my learning. During my first week I started by simply observing my cooperating teacher. From this observation, I have formed many opinions and views on my teacher's approaches to classroom management and other topics. During homeroom on my first day at the school, my cooperating teacher explained to me that at least half of his students do not know their times tables and that he and the teacher who teaches English and social studies to the students were working to figure out which students have an IEP and need to be in an inclusion classroom. I was shocked when I heard this. I am still confounded by the fact that during the change from elementary to middle school, IEPs are not kept track of and students with learning disabilities could be struggling in classrooms where their needs are not met. I hope this problem is resolved quickly so that students are not wasting a school year stuck in the wrong classroom. Although there may be some students who do not belong in this classroom, I am enjoying working with every student in the classroom. In relation to behavior, personality, and learning behaviors of my students, no two students are alike. Some students are incredibly shy and detest speaking aloud while some raise their hands at every chance and even call out answers. Some seem to have completely given up on school and spend their days distracting other students while some students listen intently and appear to have a genuine love for learning. I think the diverse personalities I get to interact with are one of my favorite aspects of JPE so far. She needed help so she the electrician James Volta. But he never showed up. Police found Vanessa with a fatal head wound. The husband blames the electrician. The electrician blames the husband. As a rule if someone leaves someone they will pack their things. I also observed the phone ripped out of the wall. As a rule someone might get angry about someone leaving them and tear things up like a phone. From this I can conclude that the husband was angry because, Vanessa was leaving him so he ripped the phone out of the wall and tried to kill her. Second evidence, The next thing I noticed was that it looked like there was a fight before Vanessa died. There were plates broken and the place was a mess. As a rule if someone tries to kill somebody there will be a fight. This means that vanessa attempted to defend herself before she was murdered. The Mega Environment is concerned with the external environment in which a business operates; the Task Environment considers conditions that a business faces in its immediate environment (Bartol, Tein, Mathews, Sharma & Scott–Ladd 2008).
