2. TALKING ABOUT FAMILIES
Colombian families are very traditional, made up of a nuclear family of mother, father and children.
Currently families trends are complex features social, economic and cultural.
In the lower strata are more numerous families made up of several family members such as
grandparents, siblings, children, cousins and grandchildren, where everyone works for the maintenance
of the house.
While the upper strata is small each family consisting of parents and children, where the priority is the
development of family members and mutual welfare.
In the household are transmitted behavioral norms, ethics, values and attitudes according to their
traditions and culture.
The family members are composed; Mother, father, children, brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles,
grandparents, grandfather and grandmother, cousins, grandchildren, nephews and others.
