2.  Safeguarding patient information, ensuring
that the rights of individuals are protected in
all situations.
 Privacy Act of 1974 and HIPAA are both laws
that have criminal and civil consequences for
any violations.

3.  Annual HIPAA training for any individuals who
work within the facility is required.
 This will be computer based training with a
comprehensive test at the end that requires
an 80% to receive course credit.

4.  Violations will not be tolerated.
 In the case of a violation there will be an
investigation and it will be reported to the
proper authorities.
