Freespace is a new makerspace and workshop space established in June 2022 just outside of Warsaw, Poland. It has over 400 square meters of workshop space, 100 square meters of hangar space, and 60 square meters of office space available for hardware projects. Freespace defines hardware projects as those that cannot be built in a typical office and focuses on areas like energy storage, production, mobility, and carbon capture. For now, Freespace is focusing on hosting meetups and a hackathon in September to bring people together and get first projects launching in October while establishing itself without relying on large corporate funding or government grants.
