3. Install bearings (54) .

5. Install swashplate (52) .
6. Raise the temperature of bearing (51) .
7. Install retaining ring (50) and bearing (51) onto shaft assembly (49) .

8. Install shaft assembly (49) .
9. Use Tooling (B) in order to install retaining ring (48) .
10. Install lip seals (47) .

11. Install O-ring seals (46) .
12. Install cover (45) and retaining ring (44) .
13. Install springs (42) into barrel (43) .

15. Install bearing (40) .
16. Install pistons (38) into retainer (39) .

17. Install pistons (38) and retainer (39) into the barrel assembly.
18. Install barrel assembly (36), O-ring seal (35), and O-ring seal (37) .
19. Lower the temperature of bearing (34) .

20. Install bearing (34) into the port block assembly .
21. Apply Tooling (D) to the back side of port plate (33) .
22. Install port plate (33) onto the port block assembly .
Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily
injury.
To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure
and wear protective equipment.
23. Install port block assembly (32) and bolts (31) .

24. Install guide (30), spring (29), backup ring (27), O-ring seal (28), and plug (26) into pump
control head (2) .
25. Install cover (25), bolts (22), adjustment screw (24), and locknut (23) .

26. Install backup ring (18), O-ring seal (19), onto piston (17) .
27. Install spool (21), sleeve (20), and piston (17) into pump control head (2) .
28. Install the cover, bolts (14), adjustment screw (15), and locknut (16) .

29. Apply Tooling (C) to the threads of piston (12) .
30. Install piston (12) and ball (13). Tighten piston (12) to a torque of 350 ± 30 N·m (258 ± 22
lb ft).
Note: Do not use an impact wrench in order to install piston (12) .
Note: Allow Tooling (C) to dry for 4 hours at room temperature.
31. Install the O-ring seal, the backup ring, and piston (11) .
32. Install the cover, bolts (8), adjustment screw (10), and locknut (9) .

34. Install O-ring seal (6) and the backup ring.

Electrohydraulic Control - Remove and Install

1. Remove cushion (1).

2. Remove plate (2).
3. Loosen knob (4) and remove arm rest (3).
4. Remove screws (5) and (6). Disconnect harness assemblies from switch assemblies (7).

5. Remove screws (8) and cover (9).
6. Disconnect harness assemblies (12). Remove screws (11) and electrohydraulic controls (10).
7. Remove knob (13), screws (15), and boot (14).
Installation Procedure

1. Install electrohydraulic controls (10) in the reverse order of removal.
a. Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of knob (13).
Removal Procedure (Joystick Control)
1. Remove four screws (1) and cover assembly (2).
2. Remove four screws (4) and cover (3).

3. Disconnect cable straps (5).
4. Disconnect cable straps (6) and harness assemblies (7).

5. Reposition boot (8) out of the way. Remove four nuts (11) and four bolts (10). Remove joy
stick (9).
Installation Procedure (Joystick Control)
1. Install joy stick (9) in the reverse order of removal.
a. Tighten nuts (11) to the following torque 6.5 ± 0.5 N·m (58 ± 4 lb in).

Hot oil and components can cause personal injury.
Do not allow hot oil or components to contact skin.
Hydraulic oil pressure can remain in the hydraulic system on this
machine after the engine and pump have been stopped. Serious injury

can result if this pressure is not released before any service is done on
the hydraulic systems. In order to prevent possible injury, release the
hydraulic system pressure before working on any fitting, hose, or
hydraulic component.
Lower all attachments to the ground before service is started. If the
hydraulic system must be serviced, tested, or adjusted with the
attachment in the raised position, the attachments and lift cylinders
must be supported properly.
Always move the machine to a location away from the travel of other
machines. Be sure that other personnel are not near the machine when
the engine is running and tests or adjustments are being made.
1. Use Tooling (A) in order to support lift arms (1) .
2. Release the system hydraulic pressure.
3. Drain the implement hydraulic system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual,
"Hydraulic System Oil - Change" for the correct procedure.

4. Remove cover assembly (2) .
5. Disconnect all hose assemblies (3) from the front of main control valve (6). Disconnect tube
assemblies (5) and harness assemblies (4) from main control valve. (6) .

6. Disconnect harness assembly (7) and remove cable strap (8) .

7. Remove bracket assemblies (9) from frame assembly (10). Reposition tube assemblies (5)
out of the way. Repeat for the opposite side.
8. Disconnect tube assemblies (11) and hose assemblies (12) .

9. Separate bracket (13) from the frame assembly. Reposition tubes (14) in order to remove the
main control valve. Repeat for the opposite side.
10. Disconnect all hose assemblies (15) from the rear of the main control valve. Remove cable
straps (16) from the harness assembly.

11. Remove bolts (17) from the main control valve .
12. Attach Tooling (B) to main control valve (6). The weight of main control valve (6) is
approximately 277 kg (610 lb). Position main control valve (6) on a suitable table
Installation Procedure
1. Install main control valve (6) in the reverse order of removal.
