Assignment Overview Over two-thirds of Americans are considered overweight or obese based on BMI measurements. The prevalence of obesity and diabetes has significantly increased over the past forty to fifty years, resulting in a population sick with preventable diseases and increased medical costs. In 2012, HBO released a documentary series examining the obesity crisis in the U.S. that looks at the health risks of being overweight, weightloss ideas, childhood obesity and efforts to improve the public health. For this assignment, you will learn about the U.S.'s current obesity crisis by watching one of the episodes from the mini-series and answering five reflection questions upon finishing the episode.
