Some apps specifically built for Windows 8, such as The Economist, the Wall Street Journal, and Dropbox, can also be run.

With the Pro, you can connect to a corporate domain and use features like Remote Access. However, if you just need to connect to your work email, the RT allows you to do so.

The Pro includes application and security policy control with AppLocker and Group Policy, and enhanced data protection capabilities using BitLocker technology.CONNECTVITYThe connectivity of the Pro is off when hibernating or sleeping to preserve battery. The Microsoft Surface Pro is different in that it comes with a pen digitizer and a pen to make adding personal touches easier. You can use the pen in PowerPoint, PDFs, or other documents, and treat those as you would treat paper.
The tablet casings are made with VaporMG casing, which gives a watch-like finish that is smooth and durable. The integrated kickstand provides support and flexibility. It allows hands-free entertainment, whether it is when you’re watching a movie or shooting a video.
Sold separately, there are covers you can type on. Type Cover is like a classic laptop keyboard, only super-thin and lightweight. Quickly, you can switch from using tablet to laptop and back again.Touch Cover is a thin, spill-resistant cover you can also type on. It automatically disables keystrokes for a full touchscreen experience when folded back, and when closed, it turns off the tablet display. Touch Covers come in cyan, red, magenta, white, and black.
