1. Idea Explanation and Example Advantages Disadvantages
Local
Charities for
Dementia
Such as the
RICE Charity
for this i have chosen the RICE
Charity , the Rice charity mainly
focuses on helping people with
dementia. The charity will help them
keep connected to their lives and with
others around them, such as family
and friends. We think that this charity
can help bring awareness to the
medical issues and the facts and
figures of dementia. The RICE
Charity have helped bring many to
recognition the problems surrounding
Dementia and let them know that they
are not alone, and that there are places
which can help people suffering with
these problems. In the video we will
interview the public to gather
information on whether they are aware
of dementia and the problems and side
affects around it. We will also
interview people that work in the
charity, as well as showing a
reconstruction of an individual who is
suffering from dementia. In the video
there would be fact and figures
included about dementia. We will
show an interview with some family
members of a dementia patient.
An example of dementia is a story
about a man called chris who suffers
with dementia from this link was

There are many advantages for
creating a video this charity,
here are reasons for the
following: One advantage of
creating this kind of video is
that it could be interesting to
the audience, as this might not
have been something they
have seen before. another pro
for this type of video, is that
people who watch will learn
about problems faced on a
daily basis by people who
suffer from Dementia, as well
as teaching people steps on
helping others they may know
suffering from dementia or
developing the symptoms.This
widens the audience interest as
people of all ages may be
affected by this issue.

people might find themselves
reflected in a documentary, as
they may have a similar issues
in their family or within
themselves.
another advantage of making
this video is that it could really
help with someone who is
suffering this problem it would
allow them access help such as
a helpline and places that they
can go if they think they
cannot handle the symptoms.
There are many
disadvantages and
problems from creating a
video for this charity.
A disadvantage of
creating a video like this
is that the people that we
may interview may not
want their faces to be
show in the video or feel
comfortable talking about
such issues. Another
would beif were to film
we would have to
interview the charity
workers in their free time
which means that it could
be difficult to meet them
for the interview. Another
disadvantage is that there
will be lots of legal
consideration that will be
there such as talent
release forms being
signed by parents that are
under 16 and libel from
the defamation act 2013,
so that we will not have
to damage a charity's
reputation. Also the
location release forms
would have to be signed
by local authorities which
will take time to sign and
also sometimes may not
be permitted. Another
disadvantage is the ethical
consideration of the topic,
making sure it's morally
right and relating to the
audience so that they will
be able to relate to the
charity. Another
disadvantage is the
regulatory issues such as

distressing scenes in the
video, which could be the
showing of some sought
of reconstruction such as
of a family member's
description of what was
happening at the time. A
disadvantage of creating
this video is that there is
no marketing niche so
this means that there is no
gap in the market, this
means that they there may
not be anything new for
the audience to watch.
