Currently serving as Mayor of Matthews in second term. Served
as commissioner for 10 years prior to being elected mayor.
Continuing to keep and improve Natthews as a great place to live,
work and live. Economic development is high on my list as we
need to attract and keep good jobs here in Matthews. Balancing
our history and growth is always a priority as well.

Keeping involved and engaged In the great schools we have in
Matthews.
Bring and keep good high paying jobs here in Matthews.
Work to improve our roads and continue to push for mass transit.
We have a very safe community. I will work to make sure this
continues.
Make sure any new development is right and fits into our
community without negative impact.
Continue to work with the state officials to make sure we do not

lose any revenue that should come to the town. In addition,
continue to challenge our staff to find efficiencies and better
ways to do things.

Public safety.
Working to keep the schools in out community as good as
possible. High standards and high achievement. We need to
continue to work together to make this happen. We have done a
great job thus far here in Matthews.

Leaving Matthews better than it is today. I want to see the
