academic adjustment of students?
 Whether the teachers and students at

and factors of social development and its
impact on academic adjustment?
Theoretical Backing of the study
 Ivon Pavlove “ Classical conditioning”
 B.F Skinner“ Operant Conditioning”
 Albert Bandura “ Social Learning ”
METHOD AND MATERIAL
 Population of the study was secondary schools
of public and private sector of KP.
 Purposive random sample of 240 male and
female students of class 10th. From 8 schools of
two districts of KP i.e Peshawar and Nowshera.
 Data collected with the help of a questionnaire
of 04 variables substantiated by 25 items of
five variables, SC, AA, AFA, TA and SES.
 Variable SC refers to Self Concept, A A to
Academic Adjustment, AFA to Affective
Adjustment, T A to Total adjustment and SES to
Parents Socio Economic Status.

test were applied to the data obtained.
DATA ANALYSIS
 After insertion of Data, SPSS 24 was used to find results.
 Reliability of data was ascertained which fell in range of .76 to
.81 which is acceptable to good.
 One Sample T-test showed that that two tail significance of all
variable of interest was in the range of .000 which show high
significance.
 Regression test was applied to the data. Showing that
AA = .027 + .422 SC + .369 AfA + .171 TA+ 1.056E- 006 SES
(.332) (.068) (.060) (.064) (.000) (Std. error)
(.080) (6.240) (6.110) (2.685) (2.333) (t-statistic)
(.936) (.000) (.000) (.001) (.020) (p- Value)
F = 48.141 (p = .000) R = .671 R2 = .450 R2
Adj = .441
CONCLUSION
 Interpretation of data shows a positive effect of
social development on academic adjustment.
 Socially developed students show good results.
 Socially developed students have least
disciplined problems.
 It is suggested that social development of
students must be taken on priority not only in
curriculum but also be part of teachers training.
