Code Louisville Presentation
1. Louisville needs more developers.
Code Louisville is here to help.
There are over 400 openings for talented
people who can program in the greater
Louisville area. Between 2010 and 2020,
Louisville is projected to have a net increase
of nearly 2000 new programmer and software
developer jobs. That number doesn't include
people leaving the workforce.
2. What is Code Louisville?
• Code Louisville is a way to learn cutting edge skills and
upgrade your career.
• Out-of-Wallet Expenses: There are no class fees. Only
bus fare or gasoline.
3. How does it work?
Code Louisville courses last 12 weeks and cover things
such as front-end web development, back-end web
development and mobile development.
You will be connected to peers who are also learning to
program. You will learn on your own schedule via the
Treehouse learning platform. Your class will meet one
day per week in the evenings for two hours to review
your work, get unstuck and learn from experienced
mentors.
Code Louisville is focused on building projects through
assignments on Treehouse and through additional
challenges we'll assign you. At the end, you'll have a
portfolio you'll be proud to show off.
4. What's the Payoff?
A market full of employers desperate to hire new
programmers, as well as placement assistance to help
you meet the right one. Code Louisville hosts job fairs for
graduates where you'll get to meet employers looking for
talented people like you!
