KENDALLVILLE, Ind. – The Kendallville Area Chamber of Commerce will
launch their Empower Hour educational series on February 10, 2010, Executive Director
Anita Shepherd announced today.
The Empower Hour series is a comprehensive tool to help area businesses expand
their knowledge and capabilities and network in a non-competitive setting. The sessions
will be informative, interactive and specifically aimed to cover topics that can be
implemented by businesses and organizations. Over a lunch hour, attendees will be
offered beneficial and practical information by field experts. “In order to build our
businesses, we must continue learning and educate ourselves on the most relevant topics
facing the business world. One of the main requests from our area businesses has been
for expanded educational opportunities, and these that in addition to networking
opportunities,” Shepherd said.
The first Empower Hour session will focus on cost effective marketing through
social media on the Web. Digital Hill Multimedia, Inc will be presenting real case
studies and providing information on how to apply these marketing tactics. The lunch-
time lesson will be on February 10, 2010, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the
