For
Volunteers
Better Health Online training is a short course for Kingston
residents on how to use smartphones or tablets to research and
improve their health and wellbeing online. The focus of our training
is searching for health information from reputable sites like NHS
Choices; registering to book GP appointments online; installing and
using health apps.
As a volunteer, your role will be to support our learners through
demonstration, encouragement and checking their understanding of
what they are learning. Our tutor will guide the session and support
you and your learning buddy.
Volunteer Profile: A Kingston resident with good digital skills, an
interest in training and/or supporting people to better health and
wellbeing.
Are you interested in taking up the challenge?
One in five people in the UK does not have basic online skills to
access online shopping, learning, research, training, socialising,
entertainment, banking, managing hospital appointments etc.
Can you help bring about change in Kingston? Find out more on
15th February.
