The word project comes from
the Latin word projectum from the Latin
verb proicere, "before an action" which in
turn comes from pro-, which denotes
precedence, something that comes before
something else in time (paralleling
the Greek ) and iacere, "to do". The word
"project" thus actually originally meant
"before an action".

5. The present project report is the outcome of my efforts in finding
out the customers’ preferences towards various mobile service
providers. I have been fortunate in having the active co-operation

largest in the world and the second largest
among the emerging economies of Asia. The
telecommunication sector has emerged as
one of the key sectors responsible for India’s
resurgent economic growth during the last
decade. Some of the highlights of this sector

19. Based on the data obtain from 10 responds be drawn
can, the following conclusion can be drawn:-
1) Vodafone appeared in to the top preference of customers.
Idea occupies the second ranking and airtle the third.
Interactions with the respond that many of them preferred
Vodafone of their most attractive play good network
provider in comparisons of other service provider.
2) Respondent rank Idea second among the service because
the good network facilities. Some of the respondents
narrated their personal experience of talking to friend and
relative in remote rural area through idea network.
3) Airtle network preferred mostly by cost conscious people.
Airtle is competing in the market by offering low call rate
and low sms cost. It was learnt during discussion with the
respondents that airtle is offering SMS pack at a very
nominal rate every month.
20. SUGGESTION
Finding of this study about customers’ preferences toward various mobile service
provider from the in the future. The following suggestion would serve as serve as
guideline for the mobile service provider in designing their marketing saturates to
stratify their better win new customer and also retain them:-
1. Competition in telecom industries is heating up; it is time for Indian telecom
players to formulate to attract new customers and retain old ones.
2. Quality of service and the ability to retain customer to retain customer would
determine the success or failure of the communication service providers in
future. In today completive environment, customers are quick to abandon service
provider that meet expectation.
3. The service provider should segment customer and on bases like type of service
and constant of service and then design pricing policies to meet the requirements
and each segment of customer.
4. The service provider should improve the working of their’ customer relation cells’
so as be in constant touch with the customer to know about their grievances
changing requirements and expectations. This would help in designing new
service offering the customers.
