1. enough/ too
意味:enough=十分 too=十二分(十分すぎる)
使い方:enough は形容詞 and 副詞
I think we trained hard enough.(副詞)
I knew I had enough speed.(形容詞)
too: 多くの場合、too has 否定的な意味合い, but sometimes it can be 肯定的な意味合い
Usually when [too] is 肯定的な意味合い the sentence is casual English.
(日本語のすぎるとよく似てる。例えば:あの子は面白すぎる!)
The other runners were too slow to keep up.
Bolt is too fast!
Today was the 200 meter finals for the London Olympics. I knew we had trained
hard [ 1 ]. Some people said we did [ 2] much in the weeks before the Olympics. They
said we would be [ 3 ] tired to do our best. We knew we did it right though. Bolt knows
what he is doing. We both do. We left everybody behind in that race, they were just [ 4 ]
slow. They couldn’t catch us. I was right behind Bolt but I couldn’t catch him. The man
is [ 5 ] fast! It’s amazing. I came in 2nd place, but it’s [ 6 ]. I feel really good about my
run. It’s no shame to finish behind a legend. It was a great, great night for both of us!
