EXT. THE TURNER HOUSEHOLD - DAWN/DAY
The film starts with a tilt slowly revealing an establishing
shot of the house followed by a title saying 'The Morning
Wanted'. The house is white with newly refurbished windows
with a black outline.
INT. DOWNSTAIRS HALLWAY - DAWN/DAY
The house looks middle class, mainly white and tidy. There is
some art hanging on the walls followed by a tracking shot up
the stairs to JACKS bedroom.
INT. JACKS BEDROOM - DAWN/DAY
The camera goes to an MCU of JACK sleeping, JACK is a 16/17
with brown hair and brown eyes. to then a CU of his face, to
then an ECU of his eye. A dream type transition is used to
convey we are now witnessing his imagination.
MUM
(off-screen)
"Jack you up yet, you'll be late for
school"
We see JACK opening his eyes and a POV shot is used as he
looks around his very messy room. He looks in the mirror and
his hair is up and crazy and he is in his underwear.
INT. CORRIDOR - DAWN/DAY
JACK walks through the corridor towards the bathroom
INT. BATHROOM - DAWN/DAY
When he gets to the bathroom he sits on the toilet, a big
'Plop' is heard from the outside of the toilet. The screen
goes black and a title saying
'10 minutes later'
INT. CORRIDOR - DAWN/DAY
JACKS little sister MAYA is around 13/14 with dark hair and
brown eyes. She starts banging on the bathroom door.
MAYA
"Get out of the bathroom"

INT. STAIRS - DAWN/DAY
Jack opens the door and Maya hits him.
INT. STAIRS - DAWN/DAY
Jack walks down the stairs with a smirk on his face, after we
see Maya smelling Jacks aroma from the toilet, we then hear
off screen-diegetic sound Maya shouting
MAYA
(Off screen-dietetic)"Ewwwww, JACK
THATS STINKS!"
INT. KITCHEN - DAWN/DAY
Jack goes to the kitchen and starts opening random cupboards,
he finds the cereal cupboard and starts picking out cereal,
but the ones he doesn't want to eat, he just throws them on
the floor, and cereal just goes all over the floor
everywhere. Jacks parents storm in and see the kitchen as a
mess.
DAD
"JACK THE KITCHEN IS A MESS, YOUR
GOING TO CLEAN THIS UP RIGHT NOW"
Dad's voice starts to fade out as Jack loses concentration of
what his dad is saying, so jack looks at his dad, clicks his
fingers and the dad disintegrates. The camera does a CU of
Jacks face
INT. JACKS BEDROOM - DAWN/DAY
The camera cuts to him sleeping in his bed again.
INT. CORRIDOR - DAWN/DAY
A tracking shot going through the corridor towards Maya's
bedroom.
INT. MAYA'S BEDROOM - DAWN/DAY
The camera does a zoom into a CU to then an ECU of Maya's eye
. When Maya opens her eyes her whole family is waiting for
her commands. Dad and Jack are wearing suit's and ties,
whilst the mum is wearing a maids gown.
MAYA
(Points at her mum) "You make
breakfast for me, (Points at her

brother and father), You will carry me
to the bathroom."
Jack and DAD pick up MAYA.
INT. CORRIDOR - DAWN/DAY
Jack and his DAD carry MAYA
INT. BATHROOM - DAWN/DAY
Into the bathroom, the brother gets her toothbrush and puts
toothpaste on it.
MAYA
"Brush?"
Jack then proceeds to brush Maya's teeth, we get some
reaction shots of Jack finding this experience very
uncomfortable. While this is happening dad is still holding
MAYA but he looks exhausted. They then carry her out of the
bathroom.
INT. CORRIDOR - DAWN/DAY
They carry maya through the corridor.
INT. STAIRS - DAWN/DAY
To then struggling to carry her down the stairs.
INT. KITCHEN - DAWN/DAY
JACK AND DAD enter the kitchen, Mother has presents Maya with
some cereal.
MAYA
"WHAT IS THAT, YOU KNOW MY fAVOURITE
IS COOKIE CRISP!" (She then proceeds
to fling the bowl of cereal on the
floor resulting with milk, cereal and
shattered pieces of the bowl around
the kitchen)
Maya then Starts screaming and the camera zooms into her
eyes.
INT. MAYA'S BEDROOM - DAWN/DAY
We go back to seeing Maya waking up.

INT. UPPER STAIRCASE - DAWN/DAY
We then go up the stairs to the room at the top of the house.
INT. PARENTS BEDROOM - DAWN/DAY
A split-screen CU of the parents walking up (CU of eyes). The
dad gets up and turns on the radio, some relaxing jazz music
comes on.
INT. UPPER STAIRCASE - DAWN/DAY
Dad walks down the stairs.
INT. JACKS BEDROOM - DAWN/DAY
Dad enters, Jack is awake, fully groomed, his hair is gelled
back, and he is wearing a suit. his bedroom os very tidy and
his bed is neatly made.
JACK
"Good morning Dad, would you like
breakfast?"
Dad smiles and raises his eyebrows, soon after he walks out.
INT. MAYA'S BEDROOM - DAWN/DAY
Mum enters Maya's bedroom. Maya is also ready for the day,
bedroom tidy and her hair is tied back. Mum too smiles and
walks out.
INT. STAIRS - DAWN/DAY
The parents walk down the stairs.
INT. KITCHEN - DAWN/DAY
The kitchen is spotless and on the table, are two plates with
2 boiled eggs and soldiers. The parents sit down whilst the
children are standing with perfect posture and have their
hands behind their back as if they were waiting their next
command. There is a CU of the parents enjoying their meal.
INT. JACKS BEDROOM / MAYAS BEDROOM / PARENTS BEDROOM -
DAWN/DAY
Then we get a split-screen with everyone waking up again.

INT. JACKS BEDROOM - DAWN/DAY
Jacks room is messy, but he puts nice clothes on and looks
groomed.
INT. BATHROOM - DAWN/DAY
Maya goes and takes a shower we are presented with her head
in the shower looking tired.
INT. CORRIDOR - DAWN/DAY
JACK
"MAYA, Hurry up, I need to brush my
teeth"
INT. KITCHEN - DAWN/DAY
Parents go and make breakfast and everyone in the house
simultaneously sit at the table with their breakfast in front
of them, the atmosphere is rather quiet and awkward.
JACK
"Did everyone sleep well?"
