2. Introduction
Prostate cancer is currently the
most common cancer in elderly
men. The prostate is an organ that
is regulated by sex hormones, and
so most prostate cancers are also
regulated by androgen activity,
which is hormone-dependent.
After a period of treatment with androgen
antagonists, most prostate cancers become
hormone-independent, which is known as
castration-resistant prostate cancer.

3. Introduction
Upon binding to ligands, AR translocates to
the nucleus to activate its target genes to
promote cell proliferation.
However, a non-transcriptional function of
AR has also been discovered, in which AR
can directly participate in the initiation of
DNA replication by interacting with CDC6.
NAT 10 is a nucleolar protein that contains
acetyltransferase and tRNA binding do-
mains, and it mediates the acetylation of
many types of molecules, such as histones,
microtubules, tRNA, or mRNA. Remodelin, an inhibitor of NAT 10

4. OBJECTIVE.
Here, we report the inhibitory effectes of
Remodelin on prostate cancer cells and the
possible associated mechanisms.

METHODS

The activation of CDC6 expression by
AR directly promotes cell cycle
progression and the proliferation of AR-
dependent PCa cells.
Moreover, another investigation
revealed that as a component of the
prereplication complex, AR directly
interacts with CDC6, together with
cyclins E and A and DNA polymerase α,
as well as PCNA, to drive LNCaP cells
from G1 phase to S phase.
In our previous research, we revealed
that either Remodelin treatment or the
depletion of NAT10 inhibits the DNA
replication of cancer cells, influencing
the acetylation status of chromatin.

10. Conclusions
In this case, molecular
biology plays a very
important role since it is
in charge of solving the
problem of prostate
cancer.
Without molecular
biology this article
could not be developed
because they realized
that DNA replication in
prostate cancer cells
can be inhibited
