The document discusses the development of p-type dye-sensitized solar cells (p-DSSCs) using delafossite CuGaO2 nanoplates, which provide higher open-circuit voltages compared to traditional NiO. Utilizing hydrothermal synthesis, the CuGaO2 nanoplates showed thermal stability below 350°C and achieved a significant saturation photovoltage of 464 mV under high illumination. This research represents the first successful application of light-colored CuGaO2 in p-DSSCs, achieving a maximum voltage of 357 mV with ongoing efforts to enhance current intensity.
