2. COURSE OVERVIEW
• This course aim at assisting the managers in becoming conversant with
and knowledgeable in accounting and finance fundamentals for both
business and personal use.
• It aims to introduce you to the nature of financial statements and how
to interpret them; the nature and sources of finance available to
businesses, and to the elements of corporate finance and financial
management.
3. COURSE OF OBJECTIVES
Having successfully completed this course you will be able to
demonstrate knowledge and understanding of:
• financial, cost, and management accounting
• how to assess the financial health of a firm
• the concepts of the time value of money, risk and return
• the various investment evaluation tools including NPV, IRR,
