during the weekend by a
high official of YaIe University
for public exhibiUion and
further examination at the
British Museum.
The map, a íacsimile oí which was published in October, 1956, purports .to show Amel'ica 50 years beíore the continent's discovery by Columbus.
l'he map first carne to light in Britain in 1957 and was published in a book, .. The Vinland Map and the Tartar Relatioll," by MI'.

Laboratory tests
Mr. Skelton tald me yestel'day that handwriting experts will compare the writing on the map with that oí the manuscript. In addition. microscope examination and tests under ultra-violet light wilI be made in the laboratory oí the museum. These will be carried out únder the supervision oí ,MI'.
