To keep ahead of the rest, Christian T.
Daes, Owner and Managing Director of
Tecnoglass, decided to be the first in the
world to invest in the recently launched
GlastonAir™ furnace. This allows the
company to develop new, innovative
glass solutions for both architectural and
appliance businesses. “There is a clear
need for true high-end glass in the facade
market. With the new GlastonAir™, we will
be able serve this market with a quality
level that the market has never seen before.
Additionally, the thin glass capability allows
us to provide lighter structures, for example,

optimization in the tempering process to
bend a wide range of glass shapes and sizes.
The special bending process is performed by
gravity to result in high optical glass quality.
ProBend™ offers a high capability for Low-E
tempering, especially when it comes to
architectural glass sizes. With the iControL
