Locations
Where are we filming and how will we get there?
Our choice of locations have been quite convenient for both me and Charlotte and our
actors. Our first two filming days were located near our Sixth Form, so it was easy to get to
and from. One of our actors, Charmaine, doesn’t attend the same Sixth Form, however living
local is was easy enough for her to get the bus there and back.
Having chosen locations that was near to us all, it helped in being able to organise days
when we were all free and were able to travel.
Another location we used was in a park and a house in a village near to our sixth form; again
this location was easy enough to travel to, as there is a regular bus. As well as this, one of
our actors Charmaine, lives in this village and it was her home that we filmed the inside
shots at.
Costumes
Who will organise the costumes?
In our music video we had decided in our planning, that we wanted our actors to be
wearing black; however this is also something we considered when choosing our actors.
Both Charmaine and Ethan have a look that we wanted in our music video, and we knew
that they had clothing that would suit our music video and genre.
On our filming days we would ask Ethan and Charmaine to both wear black, but to try and
wear something different each time, so we could add some variety to the costumes
used throughout the music video.
Make-up
As previously stated, we chose Ethan and
Charmaine to star in our music video for
numerous reasons, but for one, that they both
had the right look for our genre. This applies
again with make-up. Charmaine usually wears
dark make-up and also has numerous piercings.
This together is the perfect look that we wanted
for our music video, so we told Charmaine to
just wear the make-up she would usually wear
on a day to day basis.
Organisation of equipment
What props do we need and where will we get them from?
Throughout our music video we haven't used many props. The only
props we have used is a mobile phone and a watch. These are not
something we had a major issue in getting as most people in this day
have both a mobile phone and a watch.
What equipment do we need and where will we get it?
The majority of our locations were situated outside, meaning the only
essential equipment that we needed was the camera and tripod. This
again wasn't something that we had a problem in getting, as both
cameras and tripods were available to use and sign out of the Sixth
Form.
Other organisation
When planning days to film, we created a group
chat on Facebook which allowed us to organise when
we were all available to film. This also allowed us to
organise where we were all going to meet, the location
we were going to film at and the time we were all
going to meet. We found that this was a easy way of
communicating with each other and it allowed me and
Charlotte to inform our actors on how much more
filming we needed to do.
