1. Since the invention of the printing press in the 15th century, different forms of media have played a vital role in the spread of
revolutionary thought and in bringing about political, economic and social change. ¹
Modern forms of social media have changed the ways in which people interconnect and communicate information with each other.
Since it’s readily available to bring out our thoughts and views to almost anything, we could say that it has tangible effects on our

Social media as a medium of communication has brought every individual, society, and countries around the world closer to each
other. The world has become a global village. But how will this affect the interpersonal relationship of every individual? Example,
chatting to your friends or family members through email, text, or Facebook has never been the same if you do it personally.
Why? Because you will never see their emotions, their feelings and their non-verbal gestures during the conversation. Like an
iceberg, you can only see the tip of it, but the big part of it is under the water.
Social media off course has a great impact on our government as well. Anybody, anytime and anywhere you can send a message
to the leaders of the government that the whole world can see. Do you think, it will give a push to our leaders? Absolutely, but
that’s because of the power of social media that can stir up even the mind of a naïve people.
Nowadays, we have seen the importance of social media in every aspect of our life. We can admit that at this very point of
time, we cannot live without it. And this is the reason why, social media has also gotten the power in commerce in every part of
the world. Facebook alone has $5 Billion revenue in 2012 and with a total asset of &15 Billion in 2012² . Truly social media has
changed the world as global village and everybody has been part of it.
