2. B.C. (Before Chris) ME
Born in Baltimore, MD, but consider myself a “born again” Floridian since I
have lived here since I was 3 years old
I am 4th of 8 siblings (6 sisters and 1 brother)
Started working in my family’s restaurant at 15…where my mother said I was
the worst waitress she had ever seen…which started my career in retail…which
led to my career in education…and then led back to my career in the restaurant
BFA from FAU in Theatre with a double focus in Performance and Playwriting
FAU Swimmer…50 free, 100 back, and 100 fly…still swim on a Master’s team in
Lake Worth, but no longer compete
For my senior project, I wrote a full length play that was produced as a
mainstage production at FAU
I LOVE reading and often have anywhere from 5 to 15 books going at once

3. A.C (After Chris) ME
Married to Christopher Hamilton Cook on December 5, 2003…we met at
Bradley’s
Moved to Chapel Hill, NC after three months of marriage where I fell in love
with college basketball and the best team on the planet, the TARHEELS!
We have three beautiful children!…Topher (6), Piper (4), and Cricket (2)
I love to cook and bake and, while I have worked in the kitchen of my family’s
restaurants, I would love to go to culinary or pastry school for formal training
at some point in my life…probably after this program, though!
Marathon runner and Iron Woman…but currently in “rest mode” per doctor’s
orders due to a nasty stress fracture in my hip.
4. D.C (During Chris) ME
Began teaching Theatre and 6th Grade Reading at PBDA in Fall ‘09
Joined the FAU Masters Cohort in Summer ‘11
Some of the classes that I got the most put of were Professional Development
and Best Practices b/c both helped me gain a better understanding of Arts
Integration
I attended Habla Institute w/ Scott Thompson in Summer ‘13 where I was able
to learn about Arts Integration from the leaders in the field. It was truly a life
changing teaching moment for me, and I cannot wait to use my new knowledge
in the classroom this year
