2. CITY OBREGÓN
The origins of this town date back to
1906 when the railway company
Ferrocarril Sud Pacific reached this
area of ​the Yaqui , this way , it
enabled the incorporation of Eastern
Yaqui and Mayo to domestic and
foreign markets , attracting a wave
of investors and setter populations
that gave rise to the case of
Cajeme.

In 1907 a flag station was

locomotive crossing the state

station was called Cajeme.
Cajeme is the name of a
Yaqui leader (whose
population lives in this area)
who fought against them as
part of the Porfirian army and
then lead the Yaqui rebellion
against Porfirio Diaz himself.
