Wireless internet uses radio waves to transmit internet signals without wires. It works by broadcasting signals from a wireless router at specific frequencies between 2.4-5 GHz. For devices to connect to wireless internet, they need a network card and transceiver to send and receive the radio waves from the router. Wireless signals can reach anywhere within the router's range, allowing internet access from different locations without being physically connected by cables.
2. What is a Wave?
A wave is the way by which electromagnetic energy
travels.
The are different types of waves and wireless
internet is a radio wave which is a transvers wave.
3. Wireless internet?
• Internet connection that
does not use wires.
• Carries internet traffic
by using broadcast
signal
• Instead of internet
travelling through a
current, it travels as a
radio wave through the
air.
4. Frequency
• Wireless internet always broadcast at specific frequencies starting at
2.4 gigahertz up to 5 gigahertz.
• Every Wi-Fi connection had a different frequency so that they don’t
interfere in any way.
5. • For wireless internet to work, there needs to be
a router and the electronic device has to have a
network card.
• Both also have to have a transreciever so that they
can send and receive the waves.
6. • Radio waves travel in all directions. That way anyone
can have access to their energy, which is why wireless
internets usually have a password.
• As long as you are within the range of the of the signal
you can be wherever you want to and still have internet
because direction does not matter.
