Rachel Keller for example
is a journalist whom has
been recently looking into
the mysterious tape who
killed two teenagers
exactly 7 days after
viewing it. Rachel watches
the tape and becomes
cursed … having to save
herself from death.
Arthur kips a young male
whom isn't scared off by
the scorned ghost of Alice
Drablow who terrorizing
the locals in the remote
village… where he sees
paranormal things
happening the house.
Dalton Lambert, a young
victim in the film insidious
who has become possessed
by the devil, completely
taking over his body…
leaving his family moving
from one house to another
thinking each house is
haunted… when in fact its
their son who has had his
body taken over him.
4. CHARACTERS
THE
KILLER… JIGSAW, is the killer within the film sequel
SAW. His role within the film involves him to
capture people who have done wrong to him or
in general, giving them one last chance at life if
they can escape his traps. His identity is left
unknown , therefore they refer to him as
“jigsaw” for the reason that the people who
don’t survive his traps, he cuts a jigsaw piece out
of their skin. Although, he doesn’t work on his
own, he builds up his own clique in order to
carry on his traps.
5. SETTINGS
The setting for horror films are usually isolated,
abandoned or locations with hidden pasts. This
can create a sense of tension and how they are
alone; usually the scary tense moments of
horror films happen at night time.

6. ICONOGRAPHY
Visual things that signify the genre this would
include colours, for example black and red often
signify horror films. This often happens on
movie posters, where there maybe blue filters
used to show the genre of the film. The mise en
scene of any horror film often gives the genre
away, for example props used such as knives,
axes, guns, and blood.
