4. ● Salesforce is your customer success platform,
designed to help you sell, service, market,
analyze, and connect with your customers.
● Salesforce makes cloud-based software designed
to help businesses connect to their customers in
a whole new way, so they can find more
prospects, close more deals, and wow customers
with amazing service.
● It helps teams work better together. A business
may use a single Customer 360 app, or a
combination of many.
5. History of Salesforce
Salesforce was founded in 1999 in San
Francisco by Marc Benioff in his apartment.
The three men who started working in this
tiny office along with Marc were Parker Harris,
Frank Dominguez, and Dave Moellenhoff
6. ● It was one of the first cloud computing
companies, that delivered its product
through an internet browser, and not
servers that sit in your companies
basement.
● The goal was to create business software
applications in a completely new way – to
deliver software through a model known as
Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)
9. Sales Cloud
The Salesforce Sales Cloud is a CRM that
supports a business’s sales team. The Sales
Cloud was initially designed for B2B
businesses, helping them process leads, and
guide a potential customer through a defined
sales cycle. However, many B2C companies
also use the Sales Cloud. The Sales Cloud was
Salesforce’s first product and their most
popular.
11. Service Cloud
The Salesforce Service Cloud is a CRM that
supports a business’s customer support team.
It helps customers get in touch with a
company via email support, live chat, or
phone, and then helps the customer agent find
and process a resolution to the customer
issue.
13. Marketing Cloud
The Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a digital
marketing platform that helps you connect
with your customers. This product has a range
of features that enable you to market to your
customers via email, SMS, social, and
advertising platforms like Facebook. The
Marketing Cloud can seamlessly connect to
the Sales or Service Cloud, allowing for CRM
data to be passed into the tool.

Trailhead is the fun and free way to learn in
demand skills
In Trailhead, learning topics are broken down
into modules and each module contains units.
At the end of each unit, you’ll complete a quiz
or hands-on challenge that will earn you
points. Once you’ve completed all the units in
a module, you’ll get a badge that is displayed
on your profile.
19. To help guide you through a particular
learning path, for example, “how to become a
certified administrator”, there are Trails
(groups of modules).
