Each tube should be labeled with a
picture of the items and words
Math Center sign-So that the students
know what center they are in
Introduce the children to the items in
the Math center.
Show the students how to use the
items in the math center.

5. What to Pull
out
Allow the students to select the math
tools they are most interested in. You
can always setup a table with a math
activity on it. This allows children to
see the activity laid out.
Keep items at the child's eye level so
that they can see the choices they
have

learning
Teddy Bear Counters – These can be used for a number
of activities. Students can use these counters as color
matching, counting and biggest to smallest
Pattern Block-Teach colors, shapes and gestures. The
student is also able to learn patterns
Balance Scale- Students will learn how heavy or light
things are. They can compare weight between objects
Mathlink Cubes-Students will learn Sort by Color,Roll a
die and build a tower, Continue the pattern, ways to
