1. Success!

It’s only a word but everyone wants it. Seven letters, two syllables. Starts
with S and ends with S. Have you guessed what it is?
It’s just simple SUCCESS!
Let me ask you this, is success a fulfillment of life or it’s just a matter of
perspective? Well, for me, it’s both. Success is a fulfillment when you reach the
zenith of your dreams yet it could be a matter of perspective because everyone
dreamed to become successful but only few did. As we recall the hierarchy of
need by Abraham Maslow, as you can imagine, self-actualization is the highest
peak of needs of human being. Do you know why it is just a portion? Because as
what I’ve said a while ago, only few reach on this needs. Going back to success,
there are varieties of definitions of success.
According to Lakkoju Goutam, an Indian poet and quote writer, there are
four pillars, on which you can build the platform, to reach the zenith of success.
These are devotion, dedication, discipline and determination. If a person who
wants to be a successful in his career or field of work, he will dedicate himself
onto it. Devotion contains love, loyalty, enthusiasm and passion that a person
should have and if he could achieve in this level, then he will see the light of his
dreams. Discipline starts within the person himself. Disciplining in doing things of
what are the dos and the don’ts.
Lastly determination, you will be able to know if the person wants to
become successful if he is determined in reaching his goals. Of course, in order
that you will succeed, you must first believe in yourself that you can.
