OBorn on 3rd July, 1956 in Ahmedabad.
0 Surendra Sharma is eldest son of Late Kanaiyalal
Sharma and Narmadadevi.
0 At the time of his birth father was making wooden
carts and trucks.
0 In 1971 his father met with a major accident.
0 But still his father didn’t loose courage and again
stood up and start “SHARMA & CO.”
5. 0 At that time he was in 10th std. and was forced to help
his father in business.
0 And like that he done his B.com and joined business
full time.
0 At that time SHARMA & CO.’s turnover was less than
15 lac Rs.
0 He used to work 14 to 16 hours a day.
0 Because of his hard work and his abilities they
expanded their business in Bangladesh, Sri-
Lanka, Mozambique and Nepal.

6. 0 Got technology from Indonesia and get contracts from
companies like TATA, Eicher & Ashok Leylands.
0 And in 1998 Sharma & Co.’s turnover was about 10
crores.
0 After some time they felt need of business expansion
due to big joint family.
0 At the same year HYUNDAI MOTOR CO. came to india.

0 He knew that this is the right Opportunity but it was
not that easy.
0 He had no experience in the field.
0 Competition.
0 Finance.
0 Infrastructure.
8. 0 Finally because of his wisdom and skills he got the
dealership and started Sharma Hyundai.
0 But still it was not over as hyundai was new company
and there were existing trusted brands in the market.

0 Indian market is a reflective market.
0 Strategy worked.
0 Distributed work in hierarchies.
0 Business Grew and never looked back.
