character who is mentally unstable 
– for instance, Depp’s character in 
the Secret Window, who has 
created the antagonist in his mind, 
and in Memento, wherein he has 
Amnesia and cannot remember 
events, so has to rely on pictures 
taken throughout the course of the 
film. 
Often has something that relates 
to the overall plot – The 
Macguffin. 
Normally have the 
characters’/actors’ faces. 
Font often in capitals, or block 
capitals.
