Rajasthan, formerly known as Rajputana, is India's largest state located in the northwest of the country. It is bounded by Pakistan, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh, and is divided into two regions by the Aravalli mountain range. Rajasthan has a rich cultural heritage reflected in its forts, palaces, temples and folk traditions like dance and music.
