This document discusses slavery and the right to freedom from slavery. It provides background on the history of slavery, where it still exists today, and why freedom from slavery is considered a basic human right. Slavery has existed throughout much of history, though it was abolished in Britain in 1807. Today, slavery still denies people freedom of choice and control over their lives in some parts of Africa and Asia. Enslaved people are treated as property rather than humans. Freedom from slavery is a basic right because it allows people to live freely, start families, pursue businesses, and control their own lives rather than being subject to another's will.

JAFFER † INTRODUCTION ¢
Slavery is an institution based on labour. Slaved
people are considered to be properties of others.
A slave has:- No choice, No freedom and No
money. Slaves were used to build the pyramids by
the ancient Egyptians, by the Romans and by the
Ancient Britons. Slavery has existed throughout
history, in many times a places. Slavery was
abolished in Britain in 1907.
2. Where in the world does this right not exist, and how does that affect life in
these places?
Mostly as a result is would be Africa before the
arrival of the Europeans. In Africa, the slaves would
their own crop and/or labor and share it with the
lineage. Africa over-went 300 years of slavery, and
yet they still live with it even in the modern days.
Over 12 million people were sold to slavery in Africa.
This results effects the country economically. The
Americans who conquered africa were able to sell
them to the Europeans and the Arab slavers. They
exported and at the same time reduced the
population of the Africans, by reducing the
population they Africans had a lack of resources, so
most of the people started competing for limited
resources. As demand dropped, the price for those
goods would also drop. And the Africans were slaved
then even in the modern day this rights dies not exist
in Africa.
