This document discusses influences on a film production. It notes that the film "This is England" influenced the meaning and struggles depicted in the film. Scenes in "This is England" sensitively demonstrated the director's view of that time period. The film remains popular on television and proved independent films can succeed based on meaning and experience alone. By using up-and-coming rather than famous actors, it gave the cast a chance to advance their careers, which many did after the film's success.

This is England is one of my main influences of my film as I think that there
is a real meaning of the film. It shows the audience what England used
to be like and how the country has changed and what the struggles that
it has gone through to get where it is today.
Furthermore, with in the film there are some very sensitive and contriversioal
scenes in the film that demonstrates how the producer and director may
have seen the period of time.
3. This is England
Released in 2006 it is still shown often on channel for after the watershed. This
proves that it is still a very popular film for the public and this was made by
independent purely written on a meaning and a experience.
Another aspect of the film that has interested me is the way that they used up and
coming actors for the film instead of very well know actors. By doing this, it also
gives the cast a chance to become something from the film and by the way it has
had a success more jobs have come from this for the actors.
