Puffin
Puffins are 7 inches tall with colorful beaks that fade to gray in winter. They have feathers and breathe with lungs, hatching from eggs as chicks called pufflings. Puffins are omnivorous, traveling using their wings up to 90 feet high and migrating south in winter. They defend themselves with beaks and claws if caught but are not currently endangered.
