2. The Irish Wake
• The Irish wake, in the sense of
celebrating at a death, originated with
the ancient Celts. In their belief system,
once someone died in this world they
moved on to the afterlife, which was a
better world, and thus cause for
celebration.
3. • The Irish celebrate the life of the
deceased and share food and drink
throughout the wake. Music, dancing,
and games make the wake feel more
like a party. Though it is a time of
sadness, the presence of friends and
family makes it more bearable and
there is generally great joviality as the
deceased is fondly remembered.

You will always be remembered.
45. You were like my
only grandpa. i
known you for my
whole life and you
were always here
for me, you never
left my side from
when i was just a
little baby.
46. You baby sat me
you always let me
eat your peanuts.
you taught me how
to slow dance. you
always recorded
movies for me, and
made your
homemade
popcorn.
47. When ever
I came over
you bounced
me on your
lap to your
silly music(:
whenever i
slept over
you made my
bed and
turned on
48. Some kids
hated it when
grandpas would
sit there and
tell their old
stories, well
that was one
thing i always
looked forward
to when i went
to your house.
49. Christmas is
never going to
be the same
without you.
Now who is
going to dress
up as Santa
and give out
treats?
Nothing could
ever replace
that about you.
50. you made me
laugh all the
time. your silly
faces the silly
words. then when
i lived upstairs
from you i came
down everyday
and talked to
you.
51. You always had
pez(: with your
big pez
dispenser. i sat
outside with you
all the time. you
taught me how
to do so much.
52. i just really wish
you didn't have to
go. your in a
better place now.
but i still wish you
were still here. i
already miss
going over there
and talking to
you.
53. i miss you so much already
and you mean so much to me,
its hard thinking you will
never be here again for me.
For us.
54. Its hard thinking your dead and not
around anymore. i keep thinking to
myself, your not dead your just away.
its hard knowing the fact you will
never come back. you will always be in
my heart. You were a number one
grandpa and a number one husband
and a number one father. That’s not
a lie.
55. Your in a better place now
and you will never be
forgotten because you
were loved by plenty!
