Give Up All of Your Bad Habits

Bad habits only ruin a standard of living, nothing else. None of your bad habits 
are important. They are neither useful nor have any ethical value. Bad habits are 
detrimental to your physical condition and brain activity.  Do not put so much 
pressure on yourself. You are one person in the whole world among billions and 
billions people! Everyone has to face trouble in his or her life, so you are no 
different. Just try to keep yourself away from all the bad habits. Thus, you can 
lead a wonderful existence. Everyone will remember you, maybe after your death 
too. You will be kept in mind forever to your close ones and people at your 
workplace. It is miraculous, is it not?
There are many bad habits that can keep a tight rein on your activities. Your daily 
conducts and deeds are highly held back and are in an inferior position. Get all set 
and gear up. Remove all your bad habits as soon as possible. People around are 
going to fall in love with you after that. They are going to show you respect and 
have a high opinion about you.
Giving up your bad habits can do a magnificent prospect in your standard of 
living. You will be benefited to a great extent. You can start by making plans, 
schedules and regular routines in order to give up all of your bad habits. Thinking 
positively will make you stronger than ever. If you possess positive thinking about 
all the things surrounding you, you are definitely able to compromise with the 
bad habits. It is not that hard to give them up.
Quit smoking if you are a chain smoker. It will save you time, money and energy. 
You can buy something for your family or save money altogether. It is to your 
advantage, not your damage. If you continue smoking, it will distract you from 
following your track. Smoking is injurious to health. It can cause many heart and 
lungs diseases that can damage your life. You will not be able to live long and 
accomplish your goals. Cigarettes can do no good. They are just for spoiling 
people. It is a bad obsession. Any kind of obsession that distracts you from 
working properly is just not bad for you; it is also bad for your family. You cannot 
forgive yourself after such a huge mistake, can you? It is one of those habits that 
is not only hard to quit but also extremely destructive. You may try to use a good 
habit instead of this bad habit. You can eat something healthy like fruits and 
vegetables, which are worthy of eating. 
Drinking   is   injurious  to  health.   It  is  like  poison.   In  social  meetings,  if   it   is 
necessary, you can have one to two drinks. It is not a big issue. However, try to 
control it. Do not drink too much. Stay away from alcohol as much as possible. 
Telling a lie is also a bad habit. You may lie about your recent work, post task 
without ny good reason just because it is a bad habit. It is not only disturbing but 
also troubling. People will not trust you. They will never take you seriously. Never 
think about lying to others. Take a challenge. Test yourself. Tell someone close to 
assist you. Thus, you will succeed. 
Do not watch television too much in order to avoid addiction to it. Watching 
television to a certain limit is alright. Excess of it, however, can become a dreadful 
tendency. You can do something more constructive that will enhance your mind.
Be practical. You can read a book in that time, do gardening, or spend a little time 
with your family. It will make your dear family happy and contented. 
No one will ever tell you if you eat loudly or chew gum loudly, which is quite 
embarrassing. You should notice it for yourself. It ought to be avoided. Make an 
effort to be well mannered. Concentrate on  yourself. You will understand if the 
habits are bad. 
You love to go to the party circuits and social gatherings, most of us do, but 
coming late with the makeup on, feeling spent and tired you seldom have time to 
wash those beauty paints off. What you just think appropriate is a few fast wipes 
with wet tissue and then dash for the bed. You should know that this way you are 
putting up a barrier to your soft facial skin, the skin is unable to breathe for the 
whole night. Dermatologists warn about this bad habit, they say that your makeup 
traps all pollutants, like dust and smoke and sleeping with makeup on means 
sleeping with bacteria on your skin, it is like an invitation to skin aliments. This 
bad haibt can play havoc to your facial skin, next time never sleep with your 
makeup on, give up this bad habit.
Do you see some people sitting in social gatherings or during a tête­à­tête, and 
then suddenly a crackling sound hits everyone by surprise, this sound is the result 
of knuckle cracking by some fellow. Although he or she does it unconsciously, a 
bad habit formed over time. What they do not know is that this bad habit puts 
extra stress on bone joints which can ultimately lead to swelling of the joints. 
Knuckle cracking is such a bad habit that people get offended on just hearing that 
crackling sound, it is better to get rid of this bad and unwelcome habit.
One of the most universal yet horrorful habit is nail biting. Most amongst us have 
this habit, some do it in open while the others when alone. Those who have this 
habit are said to be stressed or nervous, even then it does not allow you to make a 
lunch or dinner of your cuticle. This bad habit has a name 'Onychopahgia' and 
doctors do not take it as just a habit, they say that it is a stereotypic movement 
disorder. Children are prone to this habit which can also become a cause of lead 
poisoning, it is essential to tell them sternly to stop this bad habit which can cause 
numerous health problems and can even injure the finger tips.
Once we all had this bad habit, most of us. Reading in low or poor light was 
mostly the reason of our being scolded by our parents, they were afraid that we 
might weaken our eye sight. And they were correct. Reading in dark or poor light 
causes eye strain because the muscles in our eyes try to collect as much light as 
possible then works overtime to decode the images into words, thus causing eye 
strain which often leads to headache, back pain and neck pain. It is better to put 
up a small spot light if you at all have to read late in the night and are afraid of 
disturbing someone asleep. Positive thinking brings about positive manners and 
positive attitudes. Positive attitudes can bring you closer to your destination to 
grab the eventual success.
Some of us often take things very easy in life, a bad habit indeed. We neglect 
those who matter most. Our elders, our old colleague, our school friends and our 
past teachers. We seldom have time even to make a courtesy call yet we have all 
the time to watch a complete 3­hour movies in a cineplex. This is unethical to be 
too stubborn to even say, 'sorry'. We should try to be courtsous, appreciate those 
with whom once we spent most of our time. To us it looks insignificant, but to 
them, it is not so, it hurts them but they never express their pain to us, and a day 
comes when we are hurt when they are no longer there. Aways remember that life 
is a two way traffic, what you bow so you reap.
Addiction to social media is another bad habit which often appears 'no bad habit 
at all' but often this habit has been responsible for persons getting fired from their 
jobs. Today in most countries of the world the employers have put in place 
devices which can track the time spent on facebook, skype or other social media, 
while some tough ones have completely blocked these sites in their organizaitons, 
even in most of the blue chip organizations across the globe, smartphones are not 
allowed, one has to deposit it at the counter and get it only during lunch time or 
when leaving office. So beware, if social meida is not blocked in your workplace 
or even if its use is not monitered, do not use them too often or it can cost you the 
job.
Body language counts, it offneds someone and you are probably unaware of it. 
Rolling the eyes most of the time while talking, shaking lazily like you have now 
strength left in your handshake, uttering slangs, speaking loudly to disturb others 
and wearing ill fitting dresses, all these are habits which are considered as bad 
habits in the officialdom and are less desirable. These habits make you a marked 
person who is not taken in good esteem by colleague. So try to behave yourself, 
you live in this world together with other fellows most of the time, so you have to 
abide by certain values set by the society.
Overeating is another bad habit which often is the cause of your trip to the doctor. 
You can live with little food for long but not by overeating. Overeating at parties, 
ceremonies is a common scene. People eat as if it is their last meal and then get 
stomach upsets, abdominal pain besides other digestive as well as sleep disorders. 
Eat, but no according to the old saying, 'to your heart's content'.
Do not always be a perfectionist, for perfection you need more time and today no 
organization likes its employee to 'waste time' They are correct because these days 
everything is done according to a tight schedule, once you over­ride it, your entire 
work gets cancelled, even it was done perfectly by you. So perfection does not 
works in all cases. Your habit of perfection stops you from moving forward due to 
the fear of errors or failure. Whenever you think it is okay, go ahead and finish it, 
do not pause for perfection as a habit.  
Sleep is good, it does wonders to your mind and body, but oversleeping does not, 
oversleeping is a bad habit. Contemporary research has shown that those who 
sleep too much become more groggy and tired and is counterproductive to your 
overall health. After sleeping for long hours, you have to give as much time to get 
rid of that groggy feeling, a waste of precious time. Give yourself 6­8 hours of 
sound sleep and see how energized you feel when you wake up.  
Do   not   try   to   go   ahead   everytime   with   multi­tasking,   it   often   causes   poor 
outcome. A person can not be 'Jack of all trades'. When someone tries to do 
everything, he or she may not produce good results. Multi­tasking also puts you to 
strains and stress and the result is mental and physical exhaustion which again is 
not good for your health. It is better to focus on one job at a time, this way you 
produce good results without being drained out.
We all come across persons who speak too much. Too much talking is a bad habit, 
most of us do not like those who speak too much. If you are a good listener then 
people around you like this habit of listening. Every one of us has something to 
say, so why not let the other say it first. By taking your time to listen intently 
when someone is saying something is a good habit because it builds a good 
rapport with him or her.
Do not get in the bad habit of working all the time, even on weekends. Fitness, 
both mental and physical counts, it needs to be incorporated in your daily life and 
that means weekends too. Remember if you have kids, then be sure they look 
forward to your weekend more than theirs. Take them and go to explore some 
park, of some carnival. If you have no kids, it does not matter, take your bike a go 
to meet your friends, enjoy a nice evening weekend evening together.
Just like every problem has a solution, you too can get rid of those bad habits 
which even you think are not doing any good to you. But for this you should have 
a very persuading reason, a reason on which you believe. Then go ahead and 
write on a piece of paper about the habit and its outcome, it can be like, 'too 
much alcohol is bad, it can damage the liver'. Get rid of your boredom, because 
bad habits are the result of boredom, when it strikes you start smoking, or drink 
too much. Dissatisfaction with life has taken so many people to drugs. There are 
other healthy ways to get rid of that stress, so go ahead and relieve your stress in 
a healthy way and not a way which can cause you more harm than good.
Remember healthy habits make you healthy, fitness comes with healthy habits, 
like hitting the gym, volunteering for some good cause, and having a nice time 
with the one you keep dear. Always keep in mind that we all have 24 hours but 
some use it to their benefit and some to their misfortune. Get rid of your bad 
habits because they are like bad omen, while good habits are like blessings.
Remember healthy habits make you healthy, fitness comes with healthy habits, 
like hitting the gym, volunteering for some good cause, and having a nice time 
with the one you keep dear. Remember we all have 24 hours but some use it to 
their benefit and some to their misfortune. Remember bad habits are like bad 
omen   while   good   habits   are   like   blessings.   Although   many   bad   habits   look 
attractive so much so that one is tempted to go after it. But wait and think where 
this bad habit will take you in five to ten years of time. But beware, you should 
get rid of bad habits one at a time because we are not superman and relieving a 
bad habit calls for all the will power and energy that we have. So go ahead but be 
slow and keep patience.
